    Adjusting the AC Frequency is not a viable option. The Hertz value already fluctuates with load.

    It's very close to the engineered value (50 or 60) but is constantly fluctuating.

    That is why AC powered clocks that use the HZ to drive them tend to need adjustment over time.

    Wrong.

    And as a user, I am free to write or modify the software I use. That means the software has to be free, not controlled by some entity.

    It does mean that the software has to be free as in freedom.

    Yes it's a vector. And MS wants to control that vector. If you don't see the parallels to how MS pushed IE on the masses, you haven't been paying attention.

    When things start getting messy down the road, and the TPTB want to hide the truth from the masses, what better way than to control RSS feeds.

    MS would not want to buy my business because I only use GPLed software. Sure, they could make me a great offer, but even if I were to take it, it would not prevent me from just starting another business. MS only wants to buy companies that they can kill.

    Otherwise, in theory, it could get pwned. It is running Linux and tools such as busybox.

    I believe you are confusing free as in beer and free as in freedom. MS does not want free (as in freedom) software to even exist. Anything they (MS) propose to offer that has a catch regarding free software means that free (as in GPL) software could not use it. Charging a nominal cost will not solve anything.

    Follow up. They aren't that slow to change apparently. This was in the works.

    A retail loans arm of Citigroup was ferrying the data via UPS to Experian, the credit-checking arm of GUS, the UK retail and logistics group. But one box of data failed to arrive at Experian's Texas offices and was presumed lost en route by UPS.

    Experian said last night that it was moving ahead with plans to shift from transporting hard copies of data overland and was working with customers to allow all data to be sent electronic ally.

    Citigroup has already agreed to the plan and is expected to cease overland transportation of most customer data within the next month.
