    Umm, while I generally disagree with patents, I find your argument kinda silly. You are being hindered from adding a mathematical function created by someone else, because they don't want it used without their perission. Was this mathematical equasion obvious, the idea of doing what it did maby, but they patented an implementation, not the very idea of "public key". (if they had I've be very much opposed to it) seems to me that they created something very unique and put a good amount of thought into it, and deserve compensation simply for giving the world such a handly piece of software. Anyways there are other public key encryptions out there, use something else if you don't want to pay, or simply wait till September 20th. I think thats just the price we have to pay for getting this kinda inovation personally.

    Well, as all it really does it take the pixmaps from the old theme and apply it to KDE, as opposed to newer type themes which involve widgets and stuff. You can view anything that is themed by just pictures (and sounds??) as legacy.

    Well, you could have your traditional coat of metal around the craft, then a coat of plasma, then a coat of another soft material (plastic?) that will send the shock to the plasma, without it itself breaking.

    Yea especially when you f one up, are you trying to say "prefers the GPL to the LGPL," or "prefers the LGPL to the GPL"???

    We've all heard it before, but I'll say it again. DeCSS is not required to copy, its only required to play. Thank you. (The only piracy is stops is the ability to spread it across encoding regions, and piracy over the net)

    Just out of curiosity? Have you tried the classic skin in windows. It uses alot of windows specific stuff, while still being rendered under gecko. It runs faster and looks like you expect windows to look.

    Though what a truly find funny, is the fact that hardly anyone had ever heard of napster before the suit, now everyone know about them. Hardly anyone has heard of scour, will the same thing now happen. And why wouldn't the MPAA learn from the mistakes of the RIAA????

    Umm, what happend when the last company dumped something into opensource for a complete re-write. Well Mozilla happend. (BTW I'm an avid mozilla bug reporter and QA) Its not a bad thing, but I don't think Sun wants to wait for 2 years for its next version. Get a good rewrite out, GPL it immediently then allow the opensource community to have fun with it, that way even 2 years till the next version is out won't be so long. Not nearly as bad as the timespan from NS 4.0 to 6.0 yawn.

    While I was never sure about the office java thing, I think it was just a rumor, but could have been true. The TV commericals promoting the "power of java" were refering to the ability of Wordperfect to use java, sort of in the same way that MS office uses VB. But WordPerfect was never written in java, and never will be.

    Well, the original cartoon series, and games called him Mag-nee-toh . And I wouldn't exactly say they are the defining answer or anything I assume the original creators had something to do with the cartoons and games, I personally prefer to pronounce something based upon what I heard, not how I decided to pronounce something based upon just reading the word.

    Hate to be anal, but not all our forfathers cared much about the common man. If you look at what really went on there were the federalist and the anti-federalist. Most of the federalist would have loved it if the central government could have such powers. An a few of the anti-federalist also would have loved it if the individual states had such powers :)

    Interesting, but I'd say the part in the chart that indicated the withdrawal from alcohol is worse than the withdrawn from heroin, was obviously smoking some crack itself. But I guess that depends upon how they computed the number. As the withdrawal from heroin is only a few days as opposed to a much longer but less noticable withdrawal from alcohol.

    You know I never really thought about it that way, but our laws toward gambling are extremly elitist. Seriously ok your rich and you want to gamble. You fly to Vegas or Mexico, or some expensive place. Where you can gamble to fair odds (well fair is relative, but the odds in casinos are decently fair) of winning. If your not so rich you spend you money on state lottery, where your odds are despicable, and the state keeps more than half of all winnings. Or you enter the Publishers Clearing House. Either way HEEEHEHE

    Ok now this is only rumor, but its from a fairly reliable source. But I hear that there is alot of cross-licensing going on between Microsoft, and Nintendo. So that there it looks as if there is a high possibility that both with be able to emulate eachother right from the start. Note: probably still completly different systems, as dolphin won't be X86 hardware, but the cross-emulation shouldn't be that hard. Note just completly rumor, but it would be interesting to see.

    Just a question, what is the libertarian stance on a government holding a military, so that it can protect its country from outside invadors.

    I would think whatever stance libertarians have on that issue should be about the same. Because nowadays corperations are fairly independent of any one nation. Think of them almost each as a small nation trading with our nation. And ask yourself what our foreign policy should be for involvment which such nations that abuse thier power they gain through such trading????

    Yes, but they could have alteast had the decency to have height and width predefined so we could have gotten some idea of what we where waiting for instead it just sat there showing nothing for a good 5 minutes. Don't dumb-down the web, but there is no excuse for bad webdesign.
