Say you send a message with the text "asfkjavhkjvahvkljbvdLKJBDVLVBUVYOWGWVUYBQWRVakjhk jhdfskjlIYLBVLSKNQWsfaaffaRVSDKJQWRVBKJG" for whatever reason.
The government could then claim that it's an encrypted message and that you'd have to decrypt it for them. How can you prove to them that it's just garbage and not something which decrypts to a message describing some kind of illegal activity?
They could even claim that a plain text message is really an encrypted message and you'd have to prove that it's not...
Really, am I the only one to think that even if our whole solar system would be devastated by a gigantic cosmic body (however unlikely that is) it would hardly qualify for cosmic proportions?
Maybe if a galaxy cluster was destroyed it'd be of cosmic proportions, but a tiny planet?
