    God I hate the fucking music industry. People try to enjoy themselves and they just have to sue them. It must be hard being a record exec... they probably can't sleep at night knowing that someone somewhere is enjoying the music. *sigh*

    You know, a lot of people like GNOME how it is. I think it's beautiful and very well designed. To me, KDE is a poorly designed eye-candy infested piece of shit. But you don't see me writing articles bitching about that. I just use GNOME, and I try to help out in the usability department.

    Basically a lot of LOUD people don't like GNOME. The quiet people do, and they're the ones who control GNOME. Okay?

    Who cares anyway? Just put the damn flash file up on Freenet and the problem is solved. The message gets out and there's nobody to sue. Fuck the government's idiotic regulations. This is exactly why we have Freenet.

    Sony's music transfer software has "not quite been there" for years. Realize this: sony doesn't care about software. Once you buy the shinny device they have their money, so they don't give a damn whether you like it or not.

    Upgrades for Clies? Ahahaha. Same story.

    Fuck Sony. If you like killing yourself, buy this player. If you like music, buy an iPod (or MAYBE an iRiver, read the reviews first though).

    Sony needs to spin off their music division or their electronics division is gone. They haven't had a good anything for years because of all the DRM (think MagicGate Memory Stick and FUCKING SHITTY software).

    I mean, look at the PS2, for example. It won't play DVDs on component out!? That is not a feature. That's a reason to buy an xbox (although I'll bet the xbox does the same thing. Until you install Linux :)

    It seems after you've been on the Internet for a while that you (erm, we americans) pick up British terminology.

    Pretty cool, but for $70 there isn't really that much. LED lights cease to be bright after about ten minutes (due to the way those coin-cell batteries discharge). 64M isn't that impressive. And most importantly, those tools aren't that useful.

    Cool idea though. But IMO not worth the dough or the space in my pocket (PDA, phone, iPod, wallet, checkbook, keys, pens... man I'm a loser).

    I hear you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't want to replace my computer with a phone. People were suggesting that in 3 years there would be no computers, just phones (in yesterday's article). That, to me, is rediculous.

    I personally quite like my PDA and Desktop and Laptop. I want a phone to make phone calls. I want my Desktop to run emacs and make. I want my Laptop to run iCal. Is there a problem with this?

    Do one thing and do it well.

    To be fair, they're not doing that so they can track you. They're doing that to display the PageRank. And you can turn it off.

    BUT, you do bring up a good point. How do you know that that checkbox turns things off? How do you know that Windows doesn't phone home (maybe that "crash report" also reports what sites you've viewed in IE today... M$ could then use that to rank things in their search engine by popularity).

    That is the problem of closed source software; that's why I don't use it. You don't have any clue what the software is doing behind your back. And you never will.

    Hell the next great feature of Shithorn or whatever Windows :! is called (yeah i changed the emoticon from XP to :! ... it's funny, laugh) is ads on the desktop. You know that HUGE clock that takes up a third of your screen? That's going to be a BFA (big fucking ad) in the real version. And people will still pay $399 to get Windows.

    Fuck Windows. And fuck M$.
