    Here is a still from the movie showing the tablet. From (my) memory, Kubrick added the images for the tablet in post-processing. By contrast, some of the ship's display terminal props were actually translucent screens with film projectors behind them.

    I have never understood why downmodding is harmful. An acquaintance once got +5 for saying, "Gosh, home values aren't that high where I live." Would it not be a favor to others to downvote such brilliant posts as that? I'm not sure why it got to +5, but it would seem proper to to 'score it on a curve like in high school."

    Frontline isn't perfect, either. They tend to pad material and repeat just like other shows. If you don't have an hour of content, just show what you have and cede the rest of your time for sports or something.

    Perhaps it's mentioned above, but gumbi west refers to the fact that the stall siren turns off when the angle of attack is too high*. Perhaps the rationale is that the designers expect that at that angle of attack there must be an instrument problem and there is no sense in warning if the real situation is not clear.

    At any rate, when the stick was pushed forward for a bit, the stall siren came on again.

    * Perhaps combined with other parameters.
