Ever hear of iron Mountain (http://ironmountain.com/)? . It's called Off Site Storage and it's been around for years. Arcus, owned by Iron Mountain, had a vult underneath the WTC until the first bomb hit then they moved most of it to NJ. LOL I worked in it cranking out Foxpro code.
I don't know too much about what SCO is battling over, but I think the only safe Unix's out there are ones based off the BSD Lite tree. As far as I know, FreeBSD and NetBSD are totally free of System V source code right?
Foxpro is probably the best darn-little DBMS front end and certainly the best desktop DBMS in the world. It?s a shame that MS hardly supports it. Fox developers have been living on MS scraps for years and it's the Fox community that keeps Foxpro alive not MS. Trust me, MS would LOVE, just LOVE if all the Fox developers switched to VB. But they won?t and they never will. Fox is too good.
I actually think MS is afraid of the Fox developer community. That community has been able to keep MS from doing something it wanted to years ago ? kill Foxpro. They are vocal, well organized and very smart.
Free Housing: Does exist if you are not-married, enlisted and want to live on-post. But if you're an officer or married you get a housing allowance and usually live off post. A few luck ones do get on post housing.
Free Food: Eat on post, it's free, Off post you pay.
About 16 hour work days: When I was active duty I rarely worked more than 8 hours a day. Only when I was in the field did I work 16 hour (sometimes 24hour) days.
Why all this hatred toward Bill? Hell, most of us here owe him and his minons our jobs. So get over it. God I am SOOOOOOOO tired of all this MS hatred.
I'm glad someone mentioned the military. I was in the Army in the 80's. I remember testing the Apple II and Windows 286, and GEM. I also remember using an GUI ordering system. And lets not forget about Wang. The Wang VS system had a simple GUI - well it was half text based and half GUI - sort of. lol

i agree. However, I'd like to throw BASIC into the mix along with the xBase langs - like Foxpro. ;)
Have you read Starships Toopers? The movie covered about 10% of the book.
Actually that moron is right, Anonymous Coward. Next time log in - Be proud when you call someone a moron and stop hiding.
Who cares? We have MAC now? The best unix flavor around.

Why? I bet you read the New York Post, right? And watch Fox News?
