    Damn it, I didn't say the should not meet with the energy companies! I said they SHOULD NOT DO IT IN SECRET. Executive privilege should not be used for EVERYTHING they do, what happend to Open Goverment?

    While not perfect we have the US Nuclear sub fleet. With the exception of O2 and food, they can last years under the water.

    That is 1,722 on top of all the other goverment spending, spending that has increased almost 25% since 2000.

    We are spending about 400-500 Billion more each year than we take in, why can't goverment be cut some? This isn't to say that I think this is a bad idea, but I do not wish for my childern to have to pay for this because we are spending money like a bunch of drunken sailors.

    Damn it, they work FOR US. Why is that so hard for people to understand that?

    They should not decide such matters behind closed doors. If they where doing nothing wrong, why won't they say what they did?

    Because of the lawsuits brought by various groups to get the names / minutes of those meeting.

    That is all that anyone in the public knows about them. Is that the way a Democratic Republic should be ran?

    Yes. It is a bad thing. Our goverment should not work in secret unless it has to. Energy policy does not currently rise to that level.

    I know this. I was pointing out that the Apple Hordes on /. said ECC wasn't needed when apple didn't offer it, but now that they do, it is the best thing since sliced bread.

    Why ECC? I ask this because during the discussion on the G5 supercomputer I was moded into the ground because I said it needed ECC. The apple supporters response was that Apple had some magic software that did the samething as ECC RAM (with NO performance loss).

    What has changed?

    Damn, you posted something that doesn't bash intel and/or apple.

    I am in complete and total shock.

    For those that do not know, AMDZONE used to be a great site for info on AMD. In the past 3-6 months it has become a bash Intel/Apple site.

    Note. I am typing this from a dual athlon, and most of the other systems in my lab are AMD based. So do not call me an Intel/Apple fanboy.e

    No. But HP doesn't have an copy of my lifes work either.

    Apple does have an identical copy sitting on their servers.

    This is not ease of use, nor is it consumer friendly. As such, I will stop giving them my money.

    Due to a series of drive crashes I lost what music I bought from iTunes but, due to the way itunes works, I am unable to download the music again.

    Why? It isn't like I bought a digital object, I just bought a string of bits.
