This idea that the FSF does things in the best interests of the whole free (Random Capitalization Doesn't Make tHe MEAning of words change bTW) isn't correct unless one defines the FSF as the entire free software community.
My main windows box is a dual core Pentium @ 1.6 Mhz running on an Intel DG33TL motherboard, 2 GB Crucial ram, 300 GB SATA drive and Windows Ultimate.
It isn't sluggish, in fact it runs rather quickly, nothing like a PII-300.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong?
It takes less than 45 seconds for my system to boot into Vista Ultimate from a cold start.

What apps did you have trouble with?
It is sad in that it is now June and this is the first launch of the year. Such lauches should be such a common occurance that they aren't great and/or amazing news.

My year old SATA Maxtor 7L300S0 can sustain ~ 50 megabytes / sec averaged over the entire surface of the disk.
Don't speak again on this subject until you learn more about it.

How is Sun's policy any different than the FSF's policy for GNU projects they manage?
