  1. Re:Speaking as one of those absentee voters on Bush Website Blocked Outside N. America · · Score: 1, Insightful

(Iran is less of a threat in *that* regard as Alqueda is racialy oriented, and Iranians are not Arab)

Huh??? Boy do you need to do a little studying.

First Al Qaeda is not a racial organization, but a religio-political one. It started out as a CIA=funded group to help the Afghanis (they're not Arabs) rid themselves of the Soviets. They receive much support from the Pakistanis (not Arabs). They are known to have ties in Indonesia and the Phillipines (yep, you guessed it, not Arabs). And, get this, perhaps the biggest gap in your logic, reports indicate that Al Qaeda (and specifically the 9/11 guys) did receive support from Iran; the same reports have still failed to find any significant Al Qaeda-Iraq link.

Iraq was unprovoked. Go to the CIA site and check out Duelfer report, or go to your bookstore and pick up the 9/11 report, or just listen to what our own government is now saying. No ties, no weapons, we were horribly mislead, and it appears that the misleading was totally willful.

Or like Ancient Hebrew (or Greek, or Latin... one of those biblical languages) where the comparative is formed by doubling the adjective ("Holy Holy") and the superlative by trebling the adjective ("Holy Holy Holy"). Going to mass has its advantages.

I saw a report on TV a while back that pointed out how true this statement is. Apparently, part of MTV's strategy is to reinvent its image every 2 or 3 years, and to become something completely different so that they ARE always targetting the "teeny boppers".

    I totally agree.

Heck. Look at what desktop publishing has done. And that didn't do away with magazines, but now my family and my workplace put out some pretty nifty publications regularly. They're not meant for everyone, but they sure fill our needs.

It's all about be able to become more intimate with arts that, for far too long, have been removed from the hands of the public. We have been spectators on the sidelines for decades and now it's time to get back in the game (ouch! Horrible amateur cliches!!)

Not to say I necessarily disagree with your sentiment, but how can a young Scandinavian kid (born in the eighties... language looks to be Finnish, but the last name makes me think he must be part of the culturally Swedish part) tell me about what it feels like to have suffered war? You have as little experience with it as anyone, so please refrain from preaching to anyone about whether they have the right to speak about war or not.

However, while you may observe the curvature without leaving the 2-D space, the curvature can only exist within 3-D space. If this were not the case, how could you possibly have a sphere to begin your description.

So, while we may observe the curvature of space without leaving 3-D space, I contend that there is necessarily a fourth dimension within which this curvature must take place.

I hope I don't come across as a fanboy, but I think my GBA rocks!!

I agree with the backlighting, though, and would purchase a backlit version in a heartbeat (too much of an idiot to do it myself, though); my wife would happily take my un-backlit one since she is always sitting there salivating over it (oh boy, am I setting myself up for some comments with that statement!!)

As far as lighting goes, I first got the Nyko Worm Light, but I replaced it 6 hours later with a Cobra Light (don't remember who that is by) which served me well for 6 months until my brother-in-law broke it on Christmas Eve. Yesterday I picked up an Interact GlowGuard and I must say that it is an excellent lighting solution.

    Of course, YMMV.

I hate it when people use foreign words without verifying or even trying to understand. The word should read "Globalisierung". I don't expect everyone to know German, but those who don't, shouldn't use German words without checking and re-checking; they just come out looking stupid. (Which is how I'll look if any spelling or grammatical mistakes have escaped me in this message.)
