    Why was it the 604?
    because IBM didn't start business with the 604, they had been selling business since 189x. That year (karma whores will find that) Herman Hollerith founded a company that sold tabulating machines, they were based on electromechanical principles and were not software programmable.

    In December 1999, Shields sent "cease and desist" letters to Zuccarini regarding the infringing domain names.

    Zuccarini did not respond to the letters. Immediately after Shields filed this suit, Zuccarini changed thefive sites to "political protest" pages and posted the following message on them:

    This is a page of POLITICAL PROTEST

    - Against the web site joecartoon.com - joecartoon.com is a web site that depicts the mutilation and killing of animals in a shockwave based cartoon format -- many children are inticed [sic] to the web site, not knowing what is really there and then encouraged to join in the mutilation and killing through use of the shockwave cartoon pr esented to them.

    - Against the domain name policys [sic] of ICANN -

    - Against the Cyberpiracy Consumer Protection Act -

    As the owner of this domain name, I am being sued by joecartoon.com for $100,000 so he can use this domain to direct more kids to a web site that not only desensitizes children to killing animals, but makes it seem like great fun and games.

    I will under no circumstances hand this domain name over to him so he can do that.

    I hope that ICANN and Network Solutions will not assist him to attaining this goal.

    Poor little North-Americans ! In Belgium, for $40 a month, I get 128kbps/750kbps up/downstream with a threshold of 10 gigabytes...And in fact I sometimes get 880kbps...

    No, but people like you were influenced by those movies into becoming evil videogame programmers, and nobody would deny videogames are the direct trigger to Columbine Massacre.

    Hence John Wayne & Clint Eastwood definitely are responsible for Columbine. As was Bill Gates : Klebold once played Minehunter (a very violent videogame)

    linux-2.4.4-ac10 ? Now an anonymous coward can add code to the kernel ? I guess Cowboy Torvalds and Linus Malda did that to allow people to protect their anonymity in coding, e.g. for Microserfs who would want to participate.

    But then again, don't expect them not to add boot code to display an ascii goatse.cx picture. Or to call all identifiers nathalie_portman. An also expect the karma whores to add empty for-loops to gain karma.

    You have used the term of hacking instead of cracking. This saddens me. Comparing the art of getting the best out of a computer program to causing harm to a computer program is a very harsh thying to say, so I hope you won't speaking about hacking that way.

    My point is that comparing hacking to cracking will convey a hostile meaning to your readers, except perhaps for a few geeks. Please do not compare hacking to cracking.

    You make fun of this, but fact is it happened some years ago : the private ambulance companies sued the red cross for carrying people to the hospitals for free. And they won.

    I think they didn't win the appeal trial either, but for a while the mayors of some municipalities had to requisition the ambulances as a countermeasure.

    More seriously, I don't see what's wrong with the AWE64 linux drivers. I am using one right now.
