During the handful of times that I've actually been to their homepage (none of which has been recent, and usually having been redirected there from somewhere else), I never really paid attention to it.
I was thinking more along the lines of sleazy lawyers who would try to bring any possible case to court, like saying that the government should have gone about it some other way rather than "hacking" into thousands of American's computers.
I've got one of those and it still works great, even though I have to occasionally (like every day or so) pop the ball out to wipe the gunk off the bearings or blow dust out of the sensor.
The people who were kicked out of the movie theater, skating rink, amusement park, or ski resort were kicked out so they could not ruin other people's enjoyment of the place.
I forget where I heard this quote, but someone said something to the effect that "Google has control over a virtual army... that they don't actually want anything from".
Because in order to treat sex realistically, and not as a reward at the end of a dialog tree, you would need an AI capable or responding in a realistic manner to social interactions, and we are quite simply not at that level yet.

Oh. Ok.
Well, I've still got all those other reasons to never sign up with them.
Facebook and twitter don't have secure logins?!
That's one more reason for me to never sign up with them.

Only the government is restrained by the First Amendment, private institutions aren't.
There may be a case if the institution receives government funding, though.
Intelligent design isn't a theory, it's a religious belief.
Since there is no theory of intelligent design, this bill (should it be passed) can never be enforced.
Now that they have control of it, can they send the infected computers orders to delete the malware that makes them part of the botnet?
Also, even though that would be a Good Thing, are there legal implications in doing so?
Saying "crack down on hate speech on facebook" probably doesn't cost as much as buying new textbooks.
The way textbooks are going lately, maybe it's better that they don't buy new ones.
I've got one of those and it still works great, even though I have to occasionally (like every day or so) pop the ball out to wipe the gunk off the bearings or blow dust out of the sensor.
Like you don't see people talking on their cell phones in public.
I suppose that's better than having a cap but refusing to admit it, or refusing to give any indication of what the cap might actually be.
Atlantis never existed. It is a fictional place. Plato made the whole thing up! He admitted that!
You said "what's the problem", not "what would their legal defense be".
If that were the case, then the problem would be that they are hiding bullshit in their terms.
What that intended for the parent poster?
Still doesn't warrant not being able to play the game.
The people who were kicked out of the movie theater, skating rink, amusement park, or ski resort were kicked out so they could not ruin other people's enjoyment of the place.
Explain how that is a valid analogy.
You mean it wasn't already?
I shall now hang my head in shame for not knowing an XKCD reference.
*hands in geek card and cries*
I forget where I heard this quote, but someone said something to the effect that "Google has control over a virtual army... that they don't actually want anything from".
Which they have in other countries that don't make a big deal about casual sex. They also don't make a big deal out of condoms.
Seriously? You mean like all the right-wing congressmen who were cheating on their wives? Usually with congressional pages or guys in the restroom.
Because in order to treat sex realistically, and not as a reward at the end of a dialog tree, you would need an AI capable or responding in a realistic manner to social interactions, and we are quite simply not at that level yet.
The problem is that in the US is there is also no shortage of making a big deal out of casual sex.
That sets an ugly precedent.
