Why don't you use your account you troll...don't want to lose precious Karma?? I'm sorry - I've been looking at that photo for some time now, and I still don't see it. Actually, you kind of prove my original point when you say "..you have no imagination". That's exactly what you need to see the "penguin" - because there's NOTHING THERE! (waste those mod points - gimmie another flamebait)

OK. OK. y'know what it boils down to?? There are too many old people still left alive in North America. That's right. Both of the American's presidential candidates did drugs. Bush was a coke'er. Gore was a toker. Are they gonna legalize this stuff? No. Because their parents are of the generation that this kind of behavior was immoral. Give it 30-40 years when all the boomers are dead and the new generation will look back and criticize (sp?) this generation for the complete and utter waste of resources that were devoted to the "war on drugs". Don't get me wrong...I don't want my kids doing drugs, but that's for me to educate them. Not DARE. It's my choice. No one else's.

"Frankly, I'll be surprised if they got anything more sensitive than a newer build of Whistler." I couldn't agree more. Chances are the hackers got the code to Minesweeper or Wordpad. I highly doubt that M$ would keep code to the kernel in a folder named "Kernel to W2000" or something of the sort. If M$ thinks there is a lot at stake here **(and they're probably the only ones that REALLY know what was stolen)...keep in mind that Mr. Bill himself has 60 Billion dollars to waste on lawyers. M$ really could afford to go after every person that they even *thought* might have looked at their code. Look at what they potentially have to lose.

An Asian man walked into the currency exchange in New York City with 2000 yen and walked out with $72. The following week, he walked in with 2000 yen, and was handed $66. He asked the teller why he got less money that week than the previous week. The teller said, "Fluctuations." The Asian man stormed out, and just before slamming the door, turned around and shouted, "Fluc you Amelicans, too!"

  6. Summary of article: on The Myth Of The Tech Slump · · Score: 1

I've noticed something interesting...Whenever I read a Katz article, I lose interest half-way through. The articles start off pretty good, but then they seem to disintigrate into this mash of hyperbole and rhetoric. I find myself skipping to the last paragraph to get the gist of the article, and I still feel empty. I find myself thinking "so what?".

Occam's Razor: There is no Tech Slump.

Don't bother reading the article. It's a waste of time.
