I'm sure that there isn't a whole lot of fraud in our government programs. I know of at least a half-dozen people who are scamming the fuck out of Social Security, and Medicaid.
Nothing like living in an entitlement society. I think the government should give me FREE healthcare and FREE retirement. The same people who are demanding "FREE" stuff from the government wouldn't dare go to their neighbor and ask for help. Our govt is already throwing away tons of my money on this crap. It's not my fault you fucked around when you were seventeen and had 4 kids, and now you can't get a professional job. IT IS YOUR FAULT AND I SHOULDN'T PAY FOR IT. USE FUCKIN' CONDOM YOU IDIOTS!
The RIAA is just making it "not easy" to trade files. People will still get away with it. The hard-core traders will use IRC, Gnutella, etc. These people believe in "Fair Use", and are not the average Joe-Sixpack saying "This napster thing lets me get something for free". I personally buy the CDs that I listen to, however I believe that "Fair Use" allows people to share music, whether it be online, or by letting a friend borrow your CD...
We all know how good they have handled the Isreal/Palistine , Rawanda, Syrian genocide, Saddam, Oil for food, etc. The UN has a big "For Sale" sign out in front.
I guess I am the dumbest person on earth then. I am a recent switcher (I got a mac mini). I just got tired of the virii and spyware. This mac mini is the best computer I have ever owned.
Hey this is 2005, putting the prefix "Cyber" in front of everything is so 1998. I like "Network Infrastructure Security" or something like that... Kinda makes me want to start a company called Compu-Hyper-Global-MegaNet (a-l-a Homer Simpson).
I agree with the AC, most of the hotswapping is hardware related, and it shouldn't be a huge effort to port over hot-swapping Sun hardware on a Linux kernel.
I am a switcher, and I got a $19.99 adapter for my mac-mini which changes PS2 keyboard/mouse into USB. Works perfect. It comes with a DVI->VGA adapter.
I am using my new Mac Mini (Picked it up at the Apple store this morning), and it is an awesome machine for the price. First Macintosh I have owned. Love it, love it, love it. Can't wait until my shuffle ships from the online store.:-)
And thank god! I remember the signs people had after the election that said "Sore Loserman" with a tear instead of the star (in the same motif as the Gore/Lieberman signs). I was never able to get one of those signs.
It used to be that CEO/COOs would brag about how huge their IT department is. Now it is just another line item on the balance sheet.
The tech boom of the '90s which included dozens of companies bleeding red ink had to bust some time. The run couldn't last, and people must adapt to current times or be unemployed.
Get used to the fact that a BSCS is not worth a starting salary of 80,000/yr. Most of the companies who paid that are gone.
Gotta love the Slashdot, anti-Bush, can't get pussy attitude. Thank god for president Bush, telling all of those Euro-trash assholes to go fuck themselves.:-)
I have had no problem with my Dual Boot WinXP / FC2 machine. Boots by default to Linux, I only have windows on there for games, but since Doom3 will come out on Linux, I guess I will have 1 less reason to boot into windows.

I mistyped I should have said Sudan's genocide, not Syria. However Syria has it's own problems. :-)

I use FreeBSD and OS X by choice, and Linux by force. I wish my work forced me to use Linux.

Yes it was called "MSAV" MicroSoft Anti-Virus, and it sucked. Had 1/30th of the virus definitions that Norton did.
I bet this will be the most open and secure operating system ever.
You aren't biased are you.. :-) I bet no matter what he does is wrong to you, because he has an (R) after his name.
People probably called manned missions to the moon, "Kennedy's Pipe-Dream". Right?

I don't think Apple is losing any money on the Mac mini. I just got one, it is my first Mac, but I could have gotten equal power in the PC world.

I just lied when I called in for my RMA, and said that there were doezens of dead pixels. I knew they wouldn't check. :-)
Get over it, Al Gore lost. :-)

Why learn assembly?
Because most people don't understand that a computer is a COMPUTING MACHINE. Many coders don't understand how a computer actually works.

My company is hiring, and I know of three or four other companies that are hiring. You might have to move.
I love the stupid shit some people post on /. GWB is a good president, and has done a much better job than his predecessor.
Gotta love the Slashdot, anti-Bush, can't get pussy attitude. Thank god for president Bush, telling all of those Euro-trash assholes to go fuck themselves. :-)
Now that you are done with the LA, could I take it off your hands for $100? :-)
