  1. Re:Custom workflow templates on Ticket Tracking and Customer Management? · · Score: 1

Thanks for your follow-up and I will definitely have a look at RT from this perspective.

Writing up the business processes is of course the first step, however I am mainly looking for a solution with custom workflows to allow the different authorisation flows, which are relatively easy to map.

    On a related question:
I am looking around for a ticketing system that allows custom workflow templates based on the type of ticket or workorder, to allow a ticket to be assigned to the proper team or person based on an attribute of the ticket.

Trac does seem to have a custom workflow but only one that is global for all tickets in a project, and the same seems to go for other projects.

I checked the Wikipedia article on the comparison of issue tracking systems, but have not yet really found a good match. Any applications I should look at?

    Nit-pickingly:
FarCry was released on CD in the Netherlands and I'm pretty sure that is the version I am playing. (For being too lazy to build in the DVD drive yet, although I must admit changing CDs 6 or so times is not funny either.)

I've been in Japan for several years as well, and have seen references in several shuukanshi, but more clearly, if you go to your average internet cafe, more than likely you will see a large number of people reading/writing on 2ch if you look around on your way to your own cubicle.
Ask around, I'm quite sure Japanese people around you have either heard of 2ch or visit it themselves.

Suicide rates in Japan are high for sure, but not nearly as 'disturbingly' high as people tend to think.
See the World Health Organization or check this nice overview of a view selected countries.

Only today I accidentally typed http://wwwslashdot.org/ (I know the www is redundant anyway, but I already had it in the address bar and continued typing but missed the period!) and yes, "wwwslashdot.org" is being squatted. Funny stuff.

  7. End of support on Red Hat Linux Support To End · · Score: 1

I guess a lot of people will be sad to say the least that RedHat is pulling support for RH8.0 already. Stopping support for 9.0 seems fast, but then again so was the release.

As this (AFAIK) also means that RH will no longer maintain the updates/errata RPMs that kept my system up-to-date, I guess a lot of of people will start looking for alternatives. I guess I will be changing my system over to Gentoo ;)
All things aside, changing strategies might be a necessity to keep business up, but stopping support on a distribution so soon is just ridiculous. Even Win98 still lasted years and years:)
