I've been thinking about installing Debian.
Are you able to let it configure X for you?
Is their an installation that is comparable to Redhats? Or is it all dificult?
And does it support RPM's?
This is going to sound like a stupid question, but on these new File systems can you install everything regularly and stuff, or does it not have backwards compatability with EXT2?
Really? Deus Ex runs like crap?
I have it on my 400mhz with 128megs ram
and I can run it at 1024 with no dropped frames at all, BTW that game kicks butt!
I would still by a V3, I bought one around last christmas for my P2-400/w 128megs Ram and it Kicks ass.
I get about 40-60 fps in Quake 3, running at 1024x
My friend has a V5 though, and it really whoops it. And it only cost him the same as my V3 cost me(I do not know where He got it) but it was only 150$ OEM,
no, actually it would be called pluto, and pluto would be called Rupert, because Rupert was farther out than Pluto.
ALso, In 97' they supposedly discovered a 10th planet then too, but nothing came of it, it was called something like 1997andabunchletters
I see that commercial on TV all the time, and actually own a Bow-Flex, it is quite nice, but the poster that came with it is pretty disgusting, as the women demonstrating all the workouts is so overly Muscular it is disgusting
They aren't going to have an annoying catch-phrase like that one company's "Ride the light" or something like that?
But seriously,
I really hope we start switching over to fiber and stuff, it would really speed up the internet, even on a modem.
BTW, does anyone know the length a fiber-optic cable can go? I know they use them on Telephone lines, so it must be pretty far, wouldn't kick a$$ to have a direct fiber line into you home from an OC-128?
Why all you young whipper-snappers. I ain't never tried any of this "on-line" Gamblin". Fishin' tournaments ain't good bettin'.
So what ya do is go down to the races, and bet on the horse that does his business right before the race starts.
If I may ask, who Is william Strunk? I live in Cincinati and have never heard of him (BTW my name is Logan Strunk, so I might have a tad better chance of remembering from somewhere as well)
Just wondering
That my friend, is why I strapped the biggest subwoofer I could find to the back of my chair!
Now try playing Quake! It shakes the fillings in your teeth loose!
Ahhh, Stunts!, that brings back memories, that was a cool game, remember "Squeelin' Bernie Rubber"?
Or "Cherry Chassis" (Man she was hot!) ?
I speant hours playing that game
You all wouldn't believe it, but I have submitted this to Slashdot atleast 3 times. I have submitted Dozens of good tech stories, all of which never get posted. The best one I have had was one that wasn't rejected for a whole month! but finally was!
Anyway, I have used Freeboxen several times, mostly to try to get rid of a n old p120 no one wants, I have had 3 bids on it, and the guys never get back to me! Does anyone here want it? It has a fried IDE line (Gotta use Scsi) and has a bad power supple, it would make a kickin' server.
Dell said they were putting redhat as an option on their servers, but I just got a monthly catalog from them, and Redhat was only an option on the lowest end server they had!
I actually tried to buy a M-rated game yesterday at walmart (just to see if they would card-me) and they did! WHen I told them I didn't have id on me, except for my library card, the guy actually took my library card as id, with no age printed anywhere on it!

The only other movies I have seen a *Unix* varient is on Jurassic park, and Sphere, but in Spherw it was just a bash prompt, so it probly wasn't real

Just enough?
I doubt that, I have a 400 w/128 and Win2000 is down right snappy, plus I can play UnrealTournament under it and get about 45 fps or so
Umm, babies have never seen sight until they are born, and they don't seem to have a problem, unless I'm mistaken
We'll all miss you man *Sniffle* *Sniffle*

The NES was cool, I still play Super Mario Bros on an Emulator, it was one of the most addictive games ever made, wasn't it? (or was it just me?)

Do they need any beta-testers for stuff like this?
Just send it on over, I'd be glad to take a look at it for ya!

I wonder if it would be be better if they put the DNA in the microwave for a while, that would give them plenty of variations, wouldn't it?
