also, pretty much every human being would make sure to not step on any of those obstacles, mainly because they don't want to trip and fall. Who seriously sees a corridor full of wood and goes "fuck it, i'll just stroll straight over all this"? You don't, you look to make sure you're stepping on solid ground. Sure, there's times when you do have to tread on uneven and unsecured surfaces, but then you take even more care on where you're going. This robot doesn't seem to have the logic to do this, and that's where they're going wrong.
Just because something is sponsored by a religious group doesn't automatically make it bad. Many christian groups give large sums of money to charity. Others build awesome churches (mormons build awesome temples, though i don't agree with their views), and others sponsor scientific advancement. Be glad that these organisations are grabbing money from suckers, that money often goes to good causes. Unless it's a blatant cult like scientology, then they can go fuck themselves
As some other users mentioned, having USB attached to the 5V rail is not only a fire hazard, but a dangerous flouting of international regulations. On top of that, I have never met a USB-power-only DVD drive with anywhere near decent read-write speeds. I'll stick to my trusty Freecom 5 1/4" drive-in-a-caddy with it's 20x Read/Write and DVD RAM compatibility. Oh, and I can (and have) gutted it for an emergency PATA hard drive caddy. Best £50 i ever spent.
Seriously, why? The study of medicine has only one goal. Improve the life expectancy of human beings. Surely any profession in which proactively benefits the human race should be patent and royalty-free to allow other human beings to improve and advance the technology. Why should we pay $1000's for clunky and out-dated machinery when computerisation has allowed us to minaturise, improve and cheapen, the manufacturing of medical devices.
I'm glad there's some people in this world who see sense rather than paychecks.
My guess is that non-force that is centrifugal. As the moon split away from the earth, as stated in the Giant Impact hypothesis, the crust would cool. These bits of denser solid crust would then be forced to the far side of the moon, much like a centrifuge forces denser particles to the bottom of a test tube.
Well, that's my theory anyway, it's probably a load of bollocks.
when it's choice between your own products. If you sell 30 different types of device, all at different price points and all aimed at slightly different consumers, customers are going to be confused (Do i might a Galaxy S4, a cheaper S3, a smaller s$ Mini, a bigger Galaxy Note, a bent Galaxy Curve etc etc). Apple had the same issue in the 90's with their plethora of almost-identical mac options. The point is, if you make a few well built, fully featured phones (like Apple, or Googles badge-engineered Nexus devices) instead of cheap plasticky shit that's virtually identical to every other manufacturers cheap plasticky shit, people will buy your products.
Manufacturers: There's enough low-end devices out there, make a decent (ie iPhone/Galaxy S killing) phone, and not an easily-dentable heap of high-end crap like the HTC One. (Which IMHO still beats every other Android phone available on aesthetics)
Tell that to Rockstar Games
Coudln't you do that with a PSP and the PS3?
I think a cheap and simple way would be to glue sponges to the bottom of its feet
2 years ago i had to build a church in Second Life for a uni project
It was great, except for the griefers, furries and zoophiles...
No human has vibrating feet.
Then again, no human is born with metal feet with no sense of touch

I'd rather spend £10.00 on a charger and £2.50 on a stopwatch than £12.50 on that... At least that way i actually get a charger out of it...

Then stick in barrels, age it a bit and sell it as bourbon!
Isn't this the same US government who's been slagging off Huawei hardware because the chinese might be sneaking backdoors into Huawei hardware...?
What goes around, comes around...
that works too

o Just let me have some limb movement...
[] Don't show me this tip again.
here we have another dying company trying to sue others to keep themselves afloat.
wouldn't be suprised if HP is dead in 2 years...
Top Gear has already beaten him to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xfOwSTXP-3o#t=30
Internet explorer != explorer Sure, they're fairly tightly coupled, but they are still 2 very different applications

Apple shareholders need their profits! 100% markup on their consumer electronics just isn't enough!
Teacups. Storms.
because we'll be evil for you!
I think your hardware might be dying
Or your box has more viruses in it than an AIDS sufferer
