Sounds like a neat idea. I would guess the best part about this is if one guy can't access , the rest of the company/org/etc. can't either (in theory), but the bad parts seem to be too numerous for it to even work.
Example #1, you know how some users seem to royally screw up with no effort? Try those users on that system...
Example #2, those goofy problems that you have that don't seem important, and you can't track down, so you just format and forget? Try formatting an entire company and see how that flies. "Sir, we have to format your network" hehe
Example #3, instead of one user being down, possibly working on another station, EVERYONE is down. Not a pretty picture. Unless there was some way to hot-swap your Distributed OS Servers, I don't think it's feasable.
Actually, on the other hand, if you COULD hot-swap your DistOS, formatting and problem users wouldn't be a problem. You'd just have 2 ready backup hot-swap servers, and hot-swap away.
Sounds like it might work, but also like it might not.
First off Apogee == 3DRealms. FYI, if you didn't know.
With that out of the way, I'd like to put some history behind this little legal crap that they put a page up to deal with.
A few years ago, (about 4 to 6, I don't quite remember) some dipshit took any and every 3DR/Apogee logo and their entire website design, all their graphics, etc. and basically created a pretty vulgar site out of it. To say the least the guys at 3DR were not too happy, especially since they spent a lot of time to create that site. After finding this site, 3DR went after the dude, and the guy got flamed by a whole lotta 3DR fanboys.
The guys at 3DR are a good bunch of guys, who are more likely to be found at a strip joint than in court. They are just trying to protect themselves from idiocy, but I think it's worded a bit wrong. No harm, no foul. I would also like to point out this post on Shugashack: http://www.shugashack.com/reply.y?id=20 4292.
I hope this clears things up. And remember, just cause someone doesn't like you, doesn't make them the enemy or a bad person.
SuSie is just too easy... and quite lame. It looks more like a Larry. Why not just call it Linus;-) Schroder... Nicodemus... anything would be better than Susie
Yeah, my logic fault was that I assumed that 2001 was an odd number. It is, but not if you count each digit individually.
Oh, Duh... figured it out...

Anything w/ an even number in it doesn't count... which means any date from 1-1-2000 to 12-31-3110 can't be, because They all contain either a 2 or 0 in them (the years).
Hope this helps all the 'forest for the trees' comments like my first one.
Excuse my ignorance. ;-)

Who are you?
I know this sounds ignorant... but I just want to see how you view yourself.

id is making it so if you buy a Windows version, you won't be able to get the Linux or Mac executables until after Christmas.
At least GT is letting people download Linux stuff right away. But I don't see why they wouldn't just include it on the CD... strange.
Yum! Not very filling though...

Ok, what about 11/21/99? 11/23/99? Obviously you can't have an odd day in December or the year 2000, but what stops 11/19/2001 from being an odd day?
Isn't less code that does the same work better?
