Just remembering some of the reasons I used to love this game...
"Damn, those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride."
"Nobody steals our chicks, and lives."
"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum."
"Shake it, baby." ($100 bill handed to woman)
    "Holy sh*t!"
    "Let God sort 'em out!"
"Your face, your ass, what's the difference?"
"My name's Duke Nukem, and after a little R&R, I'll be ready for more action!"
You missed two of the "hidden" ones (where you had to "shoot" at certain objects:

"Damn, I'm looking GOOD!" (at one of the mirrors)
"Boooorn to be wiiild" (tone deaf Steppenwolf karaoke attempt at the microphone)

So the other manufacturers see Lexmark selling more printers and making more money. How do they compete? By telling consumers "Our printers may be more expensieve up front, but you'll save money in the long run because you don't have to buy our overpriced toner cartridges!"? That seems like a pretty difficult selling job.

Perhaps, but HP all ready do it for their laser printers. Seriously. Compare most feature-for-feature equivalent HP printers to Lexmark printers, and you should find that while the HP printers cost more, the replacement toner cartridges and (sometimes) add-on's (such as network adapters) actually tend to cost less than the Lexmark equivalents.

    *sigh*

That was the RESTORE key that required a significant amount of effort. Remember, you held down RUN/STOP and pounded the RESTORE key.

BTW: The C64C models had a much-improved version of the RESTORE key; you simply tapped it with the same amount of effort as you would any other key.

Again, a very unexpected and unnatural scenario. How well do cars function when they run out of fuel?

Not quite the best analogy. Every car I've owned will try to warn you when you've got under 5 litres of fuel remaining in the tank; if the driver keeps going, it becomes the driver's problem. In other words, each car I've owned has been designed to deal with a "low fuel level" exception.

By the same token, any reasonable car will warn you when you have a low oil level and better cars will warn you when you're low on washer fluid.

Granted, if the car runs out of fuel, the car will cease to move (IMHO analogous to an application "crash" or "freeze"), but the system at least generated an advance warning.

Didn't anybody else notice that at least two of the TLD's were spelled using American spelling?

Sorry, but I can't help but wonder if the British spellings of these words aren't in more widespread use.
