I'm not sure where you get your 80% figure from, but I couldn't find it on that site. I did find this http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/pub/pdf/fuo.pdf.

Percent of State inmates possessing a firearm
    Source of gun
    • Purchased from 13.9
      • Retail store 8.3
      • Pawnshop 3.8
      • Flea market 1.0
      • Gun show 0.7
    • Friends or family 39.6
    • Street/illegal source 39.2

So 39.2% got their weapon from a street/illegal source. Street doesn't automatically mean illegal.

39.6% got the weapon from a friend/family. Unless it has become illegal to loan or give a weapon to a member of your family, I'd say this doesn't count.

"You could copy them to a shared drive."
"But people outside of our company need to view them."
"I guess we could expose a drive to the outside world, I'd have to talk to my boss about that. There'd probably be security issues."
"Can't you just put up a web page with the photos on there?"
"Building that kind of webpage takes a lot of work."
"I can do it for you, I have a script that will generate the HTML and thumbnails."
"We're not supposed to put up HTML any more, we're supposed to move everything to ASP."

I remember twice during Clinton's tenure the Fox network (regular Fox, not Faux News) compared his actions overseas as an attempt to Wag The Dog. They said that art was imitating life, directly accusing him of orchestrating military action to deflect attention away from his blow job shenanigans. They did it once for Kosovo (where genocide was taking place) and once for Iraq (where US warplanes were being targeted by Saddam). Every time he used US troops in a peacekeeping capacity he was vilified by the Republicans for it.

Remember that soldier who refused an order to wear a UN beret? He was a "hero". Yet soldiers that refuse to illegally occupy a foreign country are called traitors by these so-called patriots.

Attempts to get kids into private schools via vouches hit a big road block when democrats objected to it. Despite the fact it would both 1) reduce the number of students per class and 2) provide more money per student; seems irrelevant to Democrats who rather keep a socialist program alive and well, even if it means dumbing down the children.

Your girlfriend appears to teach in a Maryland different from the one that exists. Since 2002, schools in Maryland are funded per capita for the number of students attending. So your magical school vouchers would reduce the funding that each school receives. Since a portion of those per-pupil funds go towards fixed costs that cannot be reduced, the proportion of monies spent on actually educating the students would be reduced.
