And the irony is the myth of the routing tooting rough as guts independent outback Aussie. They do exist but are a rare as hens teeth. Real Aussies live in cities on the coast in overpriced factory farmed units being bullied by their girlfriends/mothers (the terms are *really* interchangeable here).
They want to be told how independent and bloody minded they are, they don't actually want to *be* it - that requires effort, and the Aussie media caters to them admirably.
Good point - I live in Brisbane, pop one million plus. The water supply is a big worry her as it is (10 yr drought). The rivers & creeks are undrinkable. If the water reseviors were compromised it would be serious - you can't just truck the water in for over a million people.
Learn to read not nitpick, misapplying dictionary definitions does not speak well for your comprehension, not to mention being somewhat pretentious.
Framework in the context of the article refers to a Application framework, which is a good deal more specialised then the generic framework term.
And I referred to GUI elements in Microsoft's Atlas library which if you read the article is part of what it encompasses.
Lastly AJAX is not just a communications paradigm, its more a pattern for the interactions between client, server and GUI, not mention being a nouveau geek term for tech that's been around and used for some time.
No its not. Look at the acronym - Asynchronous Java and XML.
Its 2 technologies (Javascript & XML that can be used together, its not a framework.
A framework is something like the GNome libs, or borlands OWL or even MFC (ick). Thats probably what MS is looking at creating, a jscript library that abstracts the creation of windows, window elements, events and making server calls.
Get a hardware router or dedicated PC already. IPCop or Smoothwall are excellent PC based routers/firewalls that play nice with windows networks and they don't need much hardware. A 800Mhz P2 with 64 - 128MB ram will be plenty and you can remove the keyboard & screen once you're finished setting them up.
- User has working functional programs under windows - User switches to Linux - User finds program that does half of whats needed - User now spends 90% of time looking for alternatives while working around half assed linux implementation - User asks slashdot. Now 100% of time is spent reading flames on kde/gnome/etc and being told to hack the code.
Nah - it'll be a red state. That will mobilize his base better. They'd be delighted if a nuke went off in a blue state, remember Coulter wished that McVeigh had bombed the New York Times Building.
Besides the blue states are the ones that support the red states - we can't damage the cash cows.
The Patriot Act was a fast acting, country sweeping bill that made it to law simply because the governing agencies that wanted it, wanted it now, and nobody was going to stand in their way in the wake of what had just happened in our country.
If that was the case it would be more understandable, but I don't think so.
I believe this was more about agencies and the neocons using 9/11 as a excuse to implement draconian polices they had long dreamed of. This was very little to do with protecting America against terrorists and a lot to do with longstanding freeper agendas.
Its a good thing he didn't try to copy and paste any meaningful information between apps (or even on the same app) on Linux - then he'd be really pissed.
Maybe if you had said 16383 msgs in one *folder* rather than the entire pst - which is actually what you wrote, check the original message.
Also what I'll second what another poster said - that many msgs in a folder (left alone the inbox) is ridiculous, you are the user that gives sysadmins nightmares.
Where my mod points when I need them ?

Well if I was the next librarian I'd implement a sure fire no fail internet filtering system.
I would remove all computers from the library - that would certainly stop any porn browsing.

There is nothing more guaranteed to expose the embarrassing ignorance of the basic slashdotter re physics than black holes.
Yup, you nailed it - on the aniversary of the only nukes used in war its all anti-americanism.

Yeah, well I had to switch to a PS2 adaptor for my USB mouse on Mandrake 10.1 because moving the mouse too fast locked the system.
Yah - if fact this process ends up creating pure distilled water.
Neanderthal porn ...
IMHO the biggest barrier is the necessary functionality in both the op.sys and applications.
New systems today have a much high bar of functionality than the operating systems of yore - Office suite, drivers, games and compatibility.
Sadly, I think the boat for new operating systems has sailed.
Interesting - and disappointing
Got any references for that ? I've seen plenty of articles on bushs barbed wire free speech zones, but none for democrats.

Actually I thought it was just the republicans that were setting up "Free Speech" zones

You can start a Administrator cmd prompt in windows without logging off:
/profile /user:Administrator cmd.exe
runas
Or any other program can be launched.
I guess your're fine with the suicide bombings in Israel then, or the IRA bombings of Britain - everyones the enemy after all.

Rubbish - we have OL2000 pst's and archives of tens of thousands of items
My current work place is like that, its great. I've stayed here the longest I have at any job (3 yrs) and I have no intention of leaving.
And I'm definately motivated to put in the extra hrs when its needed.
