Then it would make sense for the pharma companies to set up horseshoe crab farms where the crabs are raised specifically for their blood. That would also allow them to know exactly when blood was last collected from a batch of crabs.
Most men don't like to code either and there usually aren't huge lines of people fighting to get into CS departments. Do the high schools still have kids take the ASVAB tests? Are they using those results to encourage kids who have the necessary skills to go into CS? Have they ever surveyed those people later to find out why they did or didn't choose a CS education?
I don't see why they just didn't refer the customer to another business or quote them a price significantly higher than any of their competitors and then subcontract it out to one of them.
Yes, there have been some cases in the US where Somali cab drivers refused customers who were carrying alcohol or other items that they deemed to be forbidden by their religion. That's supposedly to be accepted under the guise of multiculturalism, but this isn't?
Marriage is irrespective of religion. You can have marriages that never come into contact with any religion. Marriages are fucking contracts. Contract law is certainly part of Federal law.
But the reason that people get so worked up over it is due to it traditionally being a religious ceremony & institution. Make the government only recognize civil unions which is what it is completely free to define and be done with it (which is what México does). I'm surprised this sort of thing where you have secular govt benefits tied to a religious ceremony hasn't resulted in a "separation of church & state" lawsuit.
So you have secular government benefits or protections tied to what has historically been a religious institution/ceremony. This seems to me to be a case where the "separation of church and state" principle should be applied. The US should change its laws to be like México: only recognize civil unions and leave marriage to the religions.
they would increase commute times so people would actually use buses, subways, and other options that are readily available.
They would have to actually have those options first and have them operate on a reasonable schedule. At least the people on the Google buses don't have to worry too much about an 'Epic Beard Man' type situation happening on their trip home.
Further, you eliminate the underclass who now have more disposable income to spend.
and their expenses have gone up because everyone else has raised their prices too so . The "but minimum wage in Australia is $15" argument ignores that everything in AU is bloody expensive. That's ok if you're in the mining industry and get a six figure income for a job that can't be exported, but not so good if you're in a manufacturing company trying to compete with other places. Ford, Holden, & Toyota have announced that they're all going to be shutting down plants in the near future because it's just too expensive to operate there.
Or they have to cut employees which raises unemployment for the segments of society that aren't skilled enough yet to get anything other than a minimum wage job. Many of these jobs are helpful in getting job experience, so if they can't get any experience, they can often be stuck until they find someone willing to give them a chance.
Again, bull. There's never going to be a lack of demand for food-servers and store clerks. And those are jobs that don't export easily. What we're already seeing happen is the opposite - employers pushing for "temporary foreign workers", importing folks who *will* work for those cheap-ass rates and can be deported at the first sign of trouble.
There will also be a lot more automation. Chili's has already put an automated system in 1000 of its locations, other chains are looking into similar systems. The typical fast food place has very standardized procedures and processes, so it's not too far fetched to think that they will have machines doing those jobs in a few years. I know of a totally automated convenience store too.
I'm thinking they want something that bolts onto the back of a vehicle via the towbar hitch mount points or fits in the trunk with or w/o a replacement decklid.
I'd be happy if GM would sell the Tornado in the US, but that's not going to happen any time soon because of a relic of some 1960's trade war with Germany and France over chickens. If they included Volt tech at a decent price, even better.
that's not really the point though, the point is that it has to charge under 15 minutes while eating after 500km to do another 500km for it to be a long range replacement.
I don't stop to eat, so it needs to be charged up after everyone in the vehicle is finished with the rest room.
I hope some of that research is put to use trying to create a better way to extinguish underground coal mine fires that generate at least 3% of the world's CO2 output and seriously pollute the surrounding areas.
I would agree that the "tech worker" classification used in this study includes a lot of people that wouldn't classify themselves as "computer geeks". I don't know any guys with "mail order" brides, but I know some that were probably arranged marriages. One guy in particular said his mom and sister sat him down and told him "look, you're over 35 and you haven't found a girlfriend yet, so we're going to find you a wife and that's the end of it".
And we still pirate.
Because all along, we really just wanted stuff for free.
No. Several broadcasters post the shows for free on their websites which would be great if they just did that. But no. They filter it so that it is blocked by anyone outside that country. They could still sell advertising and gain revenue from a potentially wider audience. Are Canadians and Australians afraid that people outside their countries might like their TV shows? WTF?
That's easy. The best way to control the population is to suck them into being dependent on government programs and entitlements. Once that happens, not only will they tolerate the fraud, inefficiency, and waste inherent in those programs, they will keep voting for the people who will ensure that they remain dependent. These politicians and their useful idiots will claim that by not voting for them, the people are "voting against their best interests". A perfect example are the 'poverty pimps' like Rangel who are in office for decades while their districts largely go to hell.
yer all noobs!

Does the 25% gross margin include the zero emission vehicle credits that they sell to other manufacturers or is that just gravy?
Not to mention that Tesla is "green" by making money selling zero emission vehicle credits to other manufacturers. http://beta.fool.com/dcawrey/2...

It's just another slush fund to be used to pay off campaign contributors.
Participants should all be required to use the same gear so that the gold is won based on personal merit.
Were the participants in the ancient Olympics usually naked?
the submitter's parents are still paying for everything.
