Mosaic and then later Navigator brought non-geeks to the internet. If MSFT wouldn't have bought a license for Mosaic and used it to create Internet Explorer, Google and many other popular web sites would still probably exist.
JDAMs can be dropped about 15 miles away from the target, so the B52 doesn't have to fly over it. Newer versions are being developed that can be dropped over 40 miles away. This is more cost effective than launching $250K-$1M cruise missles.
It puts your voicemail messages on your computer. You can access your calls and contacts anytime, anywhere, even if your mobile phone has no signal, is out of battery, or turned off.
How does it work?
If somebody calls you on your cell phone, and you don't answer, the call forwards to CallWave. CallWave records the message and delivers it to your widget. It's that simple!
Oh yeah, that's what I'd really want to do...listen to my voice mail on my computer instead of just hitting a button on the damn phone. Thanks, but no thanks.
I really wish I could understand why some people are upset about price drops.
I'm guessing that they somehow feel like they were cheated out of some money. IMHO, if you thought that it was a reasonable price when you paid for it, then why get upset about it now if the price goes down? It's not like someone forced you to buy it.
why use cruise missles when 'smart bombs' are sufficient? That seems like a waste when there isn't any threats in the area that can reach the altitudes they're flying at.
The one off the coast of Georgia that you're thinking of was a B-47. Here's a list of accidents by the US Military.
http://www.milnet.com/cdiart.htm I don't know if anyone has published a similar list for the USSR/Russia or any of the other nuclear powers.
I think he wants links to source code tarballs for all the programs used. I've read lots of requirements & design docs that describe something that's very different than the resulting code. Since all of this is paid with tax money, I see no reason why it shouldn't be available to the general public.
I used to live in a place that would have -20F temps. We still had lots of them. My brother lives in Fairbanks where it will get down to -40. They still have lots of them and they are huge.
That is if the people who wrote the point of sale system cared about getting any of that information. Usually, the bare minimum for getting an approval from the credit/debit card processor or check validation vendor is all that's extracted.
No. That's how it's been since the original agreement over 100 years. If the American Red Cross wanted to start selling their kits in stores, they should have been dealing with J&J.
Shame, shame. You made a logical conclusion based on evidence and not on hype. Clearly you are not qualified for allocating research funds for curing diseases.

No, that's when you have your "Office Space epiphany" and decide that not giving a shit anymore is the best way to reduce stress.
CmdrTaco is getting scared that CowboyNeal is going to take over.

And what was stopping Motorolla, Nokia, LG, etc from providing this years ago?
what about the "visual voicemail" feature?

IMHO, they're about as overpriced as what Sony sells. Neither company seeem to be very interested to race to the bargan basement.

Austin has a toll highway now.

this way the agents won't have to care if the people they are apprehending speak Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, French, etc.
that's assuming the people crossing the borders illegally can understand Spanish.
wtf does C, G, Xl, Xr, X, A stand for.

bump up the child support amount. In many states it's at least 25% of your monthly income.
It's about manipulation and control in the relationship.
