try driving a car w/o license plates and insurance. I don't think the cop that gives you the ticket or the judge levying the fine will give a damn about the Magna Carta or some UN declaration.
Incidentally, the ground control station for Predators runs X-Windows and Motif.
that's what we were using 12 years ago when I worked for the Feds. I guess they won't have to worry about the operators fiddling around with the latest eye candy themes.
not being able to use the phone as a modem would be the only think that I wouldn't like. But my existing phone doesn't let me do that anyway, so it's not like iPhone is the only device that doesn't let you do that.
It's not just what each person generates in their day to day life, but also how much the various industrial entities generate. Much of China's industry is powered by very CO2 intensive processes with little regard for the worker, environment, customers, etc. THAT is what's really driving China and India's CO2 emissions growth. In many cases, it's the West exporting their 'dirty' industries these countries to get around local enviromental regulations, emissions caps, etc.
I'm sure the only thing the rest of the state & country would miss would be the tax dollars, but real question would be: when does construction start on the walls to seal it off for good?
But if Bush did the same thing, he would. Also if Chavez is diverting oil royalties that would otherwise go towards paying something else, it's not much different than directly using taxes to pay off the public.
I find it hard to believe that any phone made since 2000 could be considered "bloody heavy". I take it that you don't want to go to a phone holster for these 'heavy' phones?
If Bush gave people tons of free stuff and 29 cent gasoline, he'd have an 80% approval rating too. The other 20% that pay the taxes to finance it would hate his guts.
If they have a finite age range of reproduction, killing one that is no longer able to reproduce would free up resources for those that can. I'm not alarmed with this news.
The other is for a handset maker to create a handset so powerful and compelling that people fall all over themselves to try and get one, and then for the maker to stand firm and refuse to give control of the handset to the carriers. Eventually, market pressure will force at least one carrier to cave in and take the phone as sold,
From what I've read, that's what Apple intends to do. They will determine what apps are on the phone, not the carrier.

Enjoy your insulin resistance.
it's used as a fuel line anti-freeze in the winter.
will be of great interest to a certain inhabitant of the Sunnyvale trailer park.

According to this: http://www.apple.com/iphone/easysetup/rateplans.ht ml , if you want to move an existing plan to the iPhone and get unlimited data & the visual voice mail, it's at least another $20/month.
My comprehension of statistics is just fine. Don't quit your day job if your dream is to be a comedian.
Either due to someone stealing them or the people who they were given to wanting some quick cash.
yes, all countries buy lots of cheap Chinese crap. I'm annoyed by people who think that we're the only ones buying it.
being the 5th kid of 7, why am I considered the "smart one" of the bunch?
we do sell stuff to China and they trade with a lot of other countries too. http://www.uschina.org/statistics/tradetable.html

what's stopping someone from building a house with the top level as a greenhouse?
that would also be a big application of 'piped in' sunlight.

but it costs a lot more and unless you do a LOT of driving, you may not save enough on fuel to make it worthwhile.
I agree. Save up for a new-to-me car that has been repossessed from someone like King TJ.

I'd love to use VLC for windows instead of Microsoft's program, but the audio output stutters horribly on my XP machine at home. :(
