but don't you think it's kind of sad that you had to scavenge storage from a MP3 player for your PDA? The PDA manufacturers should have been providing high capacity PDAs a year or two ago.
Instead of SD or CF cards, why not put a 1.8" hard drive with a decent amount of storage in a PDA? The 60G iPod is smaller than many PDAs, but has several times the storage space.
this survey was done by a group in Austin, TX, so it could represent just the local developer community. I would expect a lot more in areas where there are large Asian communities, like SF.
not to mention that all these sensors would have to be tamper proof so a player or someone else couldn't "accidentally" damage them or make them malfunction. not to mention that they could be vulnerable to a hacker who has a large bet on one of the teams.
Maybe it wasn't Apple? Disney could have balked at releasing higher resolution videos since it could possibly cannibalize their DVD sales of old seasons.
I'm guessing that the next version of iDVD will have an option to export to iPod.
Are there any PDAs using the 10G+ 1.8" hard drives? CF minidrives or large SD cards are OK, but I'd rather have more storage. I would have thought that after people started using iPods to start storing todos and other sorts of PDA like things, the PDA manufacturers would have started using those drives too.
However, kicking kids out of school outright because they aren't doing well and aren't motivated is just a good way to breed a low-class bunch of thugs who feel like they've never really had a chance.
That doesn't sound much different than the situation in many large cities. The schools keep kids in school only to make sure they get the funding they bring in. I know people who have quit HS so they could just take the GED test so they could go to college/vo-tech because of the idiot classmates in HS that made all the classes a waste of their time.
I think he may be thinking of an enclosure that uses SATA as the interface between it and the computer, not a firewire enclosure with a SATA drive in it.
the bottom 1/2 of taxpayers in the US only pay 5% of the income taxes. how much lower do you want it? I like sales, excise, and property taxes because it forces everyone to contribute.
That's easy. The new Sacagawea $1 coin has a smooth rim with a ridge. The quarter has notches on the rim. Unfortunately, the SBA $1 coin has notches on the rim and that's the only one I couldn't pick right away when I just tried your suggested experiment.
Many vending machines in the US will dispense and accept the US$1 coins. Today at work when I tried to get change for a $5, the change machine that spits out quarters wasn't working, so I went to the ice cream machine which will take $5 bills, bought something, and it spit out 4 $1 coins as change(3 gold colored ones and an old Susan B Anthony one). I then took one of them and bought a can of Coke. The US Post Office vending machines have been dispensing $1 coins as change for quite a while.
That's assuming that the people are musicians that actually have talent. If they are good looking, but can't sing for shit or play a musical instrument (ie most pop-rock and pop-country acts today), a studio with pro tools voice filtering, professional musicians, producer, etc. are certainly needed.
I worked at gas stations when I was teenager, too. I've never had a problem filling up a diesel car at truck pump or finding diesel while on a road trip.
So do most other diesels. You are freewheeling down the incline. That's one of the reasons for the development of engine and exhaust brakes for diesel trucks.
That's why you should examine your own driving needs, and analyze whether or not the a hybrid makes financial sense for you instead of just blindly following what some guy for a newspaper or magazine says. However, you can benefit from using the methods he used to come to that decision.
The reason for the choice of aluminum over steel is due to weight. I might believe the story if the processed improved the capability of the material to stand higher temperatures and it was referring to a diesel. The hotter an engine runs, the more efficient it will be since more of the fuel is burned. Unfortunately, gasoline engines can't get too hot, otherwise pre-ignition of the fuel-air mixture may occur and cause damage to the engine. This isn't as much of a problem with diesels (a couple relatives have told me about some industrial diesel engines with ceramic parts that run just fine w/o a radiator - they just glow in the dark for a few hours after a day's work).
Now if this hardening process helped reduce the friction between the parts, that would reduce some internal drag that might improve efficiency some. I hope that's not the case since this guy does it to brake rotors for a local car dealer.
I buy a car for the purpose of hauling me and my kids from point A to point B, not to make any sort of statement. I wish everyone could get beyond the "my car is a reflection of me" marketing bullshit and just buy a practical vehicle that meets their needs.
Or you could get a relatively efficient used car for much less. My Neon cost me $7K, is in great shape, and gets 36mpg if I drive like a sane person(30 if I'm going across Texas at 95+ mph). That Buick Century must have something wrong with it. My dad has a late model Park Avenue that gets around 27-28mpg all the time.
IMHO, new car prices are insane. There may be people willing to shell out $20K for a car, but it certainly won't be me.

you can't use USB 2 PCMCIA cards in your laptop?

our society would be better off trying to integrate in these supposed "stupid people" and help them find a role in society where they can contribute.
too bad illegal immigrants are often taking those roles since they will work harder for less $$$.However, kicking kids out of school outright because they aren't doing well and aren't motivated is just a good way to breed a low-class bunch of thugs who feel like they've never really had a chance.

why do you keep on buying Ikea products if they are poor quality?
Wearing a tampon with wings will not give you the power of flight.
Thank you. I needed that laugh on a Monday morning like this.so how does it compare to Kurzweil's fiction?

develop an effective way to capture the excess methane and use it to power things. now every cow and Taco Bell customer is a local energy source.
