Your right....but it does make Apple's App Store a violation of monopoly laws. If the only apps allowed are those via Apple's approval. And an app can be refused based on content, religious beliefs, sexual choices, etc, etc. Then you've basically got an unfair infringement on competition and business.
This case alone might be the proverbial straw to break the camels back. And with a good set of lawyers could force Apple to break open the app store.
1. Why does everyone decry censorship, unless it's against a viewpoint they disagree with. Leave the app. What if there is someone who wants to change their lifestyle, who are you to say such a tool should not exist.
2. Those decrying it's a birth thing, and those decrying it's a social thing are both WRONG and/or DISHONEST. The fact of the matter is that it is both. In some situations we are seeing more evidence of genetic level issues. In fact, we now know some people have multiple DNA, perhaps even having both male and female DNA. But there is also evidence that certain life situations and environment can be the reason an individual chooses a homosexual lifestyle.
3. Some people are comfortable within that lifestyle, and some people who struggle with being drawn to both lifestyles want to maintain a heterosexual lifestyle in part because of family or other reasons. Those desiring that should have access to tools and support, as do those who do not.
Seriously, we did away with most of the sodomy laws.
Why should the government be involved? And arrest over such an offense...
Granted, if the polygamy was non-consenting among all parties. Than sure, take it to court. Get a divorce. Sue for wrong doing and assets. But I find it so odd in a culture that constantly harps on our need to remove the laws preventing gay marriage, that we still cling to anti-polygamy laws.
Seriously, one could even argue that such rights infringe individuals religious belief as both Muslim and Mormon religions support polygamy. And in certain situations it can even be necessary for the survival of a species.
The real problem is that.gov should be out of the marriage. You shouldn't need a license from government to marry. It should be between you and whoever according to your beliefs and mores. And respected merely by those who share similar views.
Public Officials should not be protected by such policies while acting in an official capacity. Having dealt with enough police who were stoned on drugs. I think every citizen has a right to record their actions in their defense.
Furthermore, the police record the events without your consent. Therefore you have an argument to be made. If they say that such recordings is part of their job, I think one can strongly argue that being recorded by the public is likewise just part of their job.
Do you want to continue supporting old hardware. Cell phones have a 2 yr life cycle. By that point, they're obsolescent. Sure, people are still using them. But does ANYONE really expect them to get, and run the latest updates.
Sorry, that's a very weak argument....
As for the cost of mobile device makers using Flash. I think this is going to come down to platform. If you are running an ARM processor with a standard graphic. There will be little cost involved in porting Flash to your device. Some QA testing, etc.
But if you've got an in-house processor, or are doing something radically different. Expect there to be some costs involved porting Flash to your device. You can't really expect Adobe to make Flash player free for every phone out there. Not without the phone manufacturers picking up some slack.
Basically, it'll eventually boil down to Adobe giving some specs on the standard platforms, and saying "Hey, if you're developing an Android OS phone on ARM with x, y, and z specs. We charge a nominal compatibility testing fee.
You do realize that the earliest HTML formats did not support a lot of features.
How about this alternative, making Adobe's Flash part of the HTML spec. Hmm...no more plugin. But then, we'd have the problem where every browser rendered things differently.
Is to have just a few lines to major metro areas (ie: NY, LA, Chicago, D.C., Orlando). With the bare minimum stops along the way. (ie: NY 2 LA might stop in Las Vegas).
But here's the rub. The cost for this far outweighs any benefit, as you can simply take a plane and achieve the same result, far cheaper, with less infrastructure. For those who think it'd be an alternative to long security lines, think again. They want those for trains too...
This is a waste of money. If Obama had half a brain, he'd declare that we were no longer going to spend billions on Amtrak subsidies. People afraid of flying need to get over it or drive.
And Toyota by itself accounts for 33% of incidents. Let's do the math. Based on marketshare (16% for Toyota), they account for 33% percent of the incidents. That is DOUBLE the number of incidents they should have.
No, what he means is that the light will blink empty when it's got 1/5th left. But then it might not flash empty until you've got like 2 miles left. I am presuming he has a first generation Prius with the bladder (which is what I have). And the temperature can turn a 1/4 into empty. Or empty to a quarter tank.
Basically, if you have under a quarter tank you might have 5 miles or 150 miles. That's a pretty broad range.
But I had one issue of acceleration with my 2002 Prius. And it occurred as I released the break (was lifting foot up), and the vehicle accelerated. So since the foot was coming up. It was in no way a mistake of stepping on the gas. A couple quick punchs to the break stopped the acceleration.
The acceleration reminded me of when I would be towing with my truck on cruise control and hit a steep hill. You hear the revs skyrocket all of a sudden. It was very similar, it was like my Prius punched it. This occurred while I was going up a hill.
I've long believed this is a cruise control issue. So it's interesting to hear Wozniak suspects the cruise control as well.
Ditto, I had a similar occurrence with my Prius. It's actually an older model. I suspect a glitch in the cruise control.
In my situation I hit the break, and slowed the car. But then it accelerated when I released the brake. The engine rev'd up. It did so the same way cruise control does if you've got a heavy load and hit a hill.
As I had this happen myself. I do not buy the whole "human error".
And there might be a very very easy way to prove or disprove that statement. If it is human error, than the same incident should occur throughout all brands with approx. the same level of occurrence.
If it is happening significantly higher with Toyotas. Then there is clearly a non-human error issue. Simple logic here. But the fact that I had this occur to me once with my Toyota leaves me to suspect Toyota. Thankfully, I did not get into an accident. And within 2-3 seconds I got it to stop. (I do wonder if it might be tied to the cruise control system.)
Oh wait....that's right. There IS NO BAN....NO SPOON NEITHER...
There is only a ban on using Federal funds (ie: American taxpayer money) on fetal stem cell research. Which has yet to show any results that supersede what we've been able to achieve with adult stem cells. And given another decade or so will likely be a moot point.
Almost all the nations that are being compared have a high population density. The vast majority of their population lives close to the urban centers. (ie: Canada, most all of their population live along the U.S. border).
In America, we have a very distributed population. We have suburbs, semi-rural areas. So to reach those populations we need to run a lot more wire than most other modernized nations.
And this is seldom taken into account with these studies.

Microsoft is a moderate sort of evil. Apple, now Apple is pure evil.
That's why they've had so much difficulty producing a white iPhone. They'd build them, and they'd all turn black due to Apple's evilness.
Why judges who have no technical knowledge should not be allowed to judge a case of technical merit.

Really, this is ridiculous....
Musicians...if you want us to give a damn, then you need to reign in this crap.
I can kill someone or I can illegally download a song. I'd probably get a tougher penalty for the song download.

This crap has got to stop.

It also included a number of additional minor features, such as better multi-monitor support during fullscreen viewing.
Flash IDE is already being used for other development (ie: iOS). Expect Flash IDE to output HTML5 content in the next version or so.
Even if Flash goes the way side, expect Flash IDE to remain, and just export to HTML5.

Adobe does not make their money off the technology, rather, they make their money off the IDEs.

Well, I've had tons of AJAX coded sites fail to work. From Netflix to Slashdot to Facebook (the worse).
I find it extremely common for it not to just work right.
Also remember, Apple doesn't play nice and doesn't let Adobe have access to all the resources for Flash to utilize in order to perform nicely.
You do realize that the earliest HTML formats did not support a lot of features.

So wait...
66% of incidents occur with Ford, GM, Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Audi, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Kia, Saab, Volvo & Volkswagon.
And Toyota by itself accounts for 33% of incidents. Let's do the math. Based on marketshare (16% for Toyota), they account for 33% percent of the incidents. That is DOUBLE the number of incidents they should have.

And the arrogant refuse to hear that there is a problem. It's called the "BAD GENERAL SYNDROME". And gets lots of people killed.
How about having it happen when you release the brake? Hmm...that doesn't fit your theory.
In my case, I believe it was a failure with the cruise control.
Ditto, I had a similar occurrence with my Prius. It's actually an older model. I suspect a glitch in the cruise control.

I can't remember the last time this, or any, nation used one in government.

That doesn't matter in a COOP game, just a deathmatch.
Which I find boring...
