As I recall, we no longer make transistors in the U.S. So don't just think of used foreign merchandise. Think of EVERY product that uses an Asian made transister or microchip.
- No used cars - No used computers - No used cell phones - No used electronics - Very few used toys
Yes, there are few decisions that would cause a revolution and the mass murder of politicians. But if the Supreme Court decided in favor of the apellate court's decision. I'd wager the result of enforcing such a decision would be the end of the American political system.
I am pretty sure that the Supreme Court will give this an easy slap down.
The question is not whether Apple infringed prior art. That is not the point of prior art. Prior art says, that if it exists, than Samsung did not infringe Apple.
He was asked about lawsuits. He did not disclose them. I am pretty sure he was aware of the lawsuits he has been in. Therefore, yes, we have proof that he intentionally lied.
Whether it was to enact revenge on Seagate or not is irrelevant.
Ford, and they've even admitted this themselves, were just lucky. They had just taken a big re-structuring loan out right before rates and credit availabity tanked. They did well because that allowd them to be the only American auto maker not needing a bail out.
It seems to me that there are two types that lead to the future. Visionaries and Engineers. Steve Jobs, was a visionary, he had ideas, he saw where to go. But from what I seem to read and hear, he was a mediocre developer/engineer with yourself, Steve Wozniak, being far more the engineer.
Progress seems to be greatest when these two are paired together. What do you think regarding the pairing of visionaries and engineers?
How come jurisdiction seems to play here, but it always seems like patent suits are filed in that Texas jurisdiction that keeps patent trolls well fed?
So where are the components of electronic devices purchased? Are we able to re-sell our cell phones, just not the microchips inside?
How about this? When Apple sells you an iPhone. Are you the first purchaser? Didn't Apple have to essentially "purchase" them from Foxconn?
I believe this is related to the Costco importation of watches. Where they're trying to use "copyrights" on logos to prevent sale of items.

Exactly
2720mb (so I'm using about 2G-5GB a month, plus my wife's usage)
If it's so foreseeable...why did everyone's retirement funds lose thousands of dollars?
Granted mine did not...and I wager your's probably did not. But for most people, for whatever reason (normalcy bias) it was not foreseeable.
Most of the thousands are killed with bombs and missiles !guns.
Yes, but you cannot have a jury decision which decides that the patent is invalidated by prior art, and then find infringment.
Yes, that's two smartphones + data plan and a 24% work discount.
Scary ain't it?
It has a trade dress...which are now being used as perpetual patents you moron. :-P

I never understand this. Because whenever I compare plans between Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. They're usually within $10.
Right now I'm looking at $160 for Verizon, or $150 for AT&T/Sprint.
Woz,
Please ignore the stop posting comments. Truly, this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen on the web in many years.
Gracias...
Well rounded corners and a flat screen means no one else can make a phone either. So if that stands, so should Samsung FRAND
Frankly, Palm should be suing the !@#$% out of all of them. Grid of icon on mobile device.
Problem is, 20 years later, that publication is gone. That's why the prior art needs to be recorded in the Patent Office.
Agreed...that's why I am going to email & call them regularly. And schedule a repeat visit.

With a gun, you can kill a man.
With a pen, our Presidents kills thousands of people.
Clearly the pen is far more dangerous than the Glock.
Yes, but that's ILLEGAL. This was not.
This is akin to them pulling your printer because you printed some of your own currency to use at your kids carnival.
There is no liability in this....
Car manufacturers aren't liable for drunk drivers.
Actually, it's not...
As long as they are spec'd legal. They just cannot be transferred.
Yes, it is...sadly...
