I am a live audio engineer who mixes at some large concerts (10,000+ people). Humidity absolutely makes a difference in how the audience hears the sound elmininating from the speakers. It can change speed, and direction, it can also refract and reflect the sound pressure waves.

Yes I realize you are joking, but in the real world on a large scale, humidity and atmospheric conditions DO matter!

"If you allow immigrants that don't maintain the property values, you dilute the value of citizenship." Actually it's more basic than that and you could've stopped at the first sentence.

Rights are all based on property. Mexicans have no right to our property, therefore they have no right to be here. Therefore, illegal immigration should be stopped because they are violating our property rights as citizens.

Actually, other than aluminum (and perhaps copper), recycling is not cost effective. Add to that that most community recycling programs have extra trucks just for the program, I would say that it causes extra unneeded pollution too.

As far as trees, all paper we use come from tree farms. So if you want less trees, you less paper and they wont grow as many trees.

Uhh... I hate to tell you, but the planet doesn't belong 'to everyone'. Property rights, at least in the US, are individual. If someone from China, Japan, Mexico, or even a neighbor trespasses onto MY property, they'll find out very quickly that they don't own this specific piece of the Earth.

I dont know how you came to this communistic/socialistic conclusion that "this planet belongs to everyone" because it doesn't. And if you don't believe me, try to travel to North Korea sometime, some other God-forsaken wasteland of a country.

  13. Ron Paul for President on Bush Causes Cell Phone Ban · · Score: 1

Ron Paul is the only person running that stands true to his philosophy. You can verify that by checking hsi voting record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

  16. Alaskan oil goes to Japan on US Gasoline Prices Spur Telework · · Score: 1

Yup, that's right. All the oil in Alaska at the moment is sold crude to Japan.

    Why?

Because there are no refineries on the US East Coast and it is more expensive to ship it around through the Panama Canal to refine it than it is to simply sell it to Japan.

Another fine example of government and the environmentalists screwing it up for the rest of us!

  17. Re:Congress! on US Gasoline Prices Spur Telework · · Score: 1

The US Constitution (Article I, Section 8) does not authorize Congress to:

You forget the Fed is a creation of the States, NOT of the People (regardless of what the Constitution says). Thus the States should be represented as originally designed. At this point in time, the States have NO control, say, or influence, at all in the way the Fed conducts their business. Also if you notice the Fed taxes the people directly now, and then uses that money to essentially 'bribe' the states to pass laws that the Fed wants passed. Ever hear of a state being threatened with their federal highway funds? That happens often.

When Senators were elected from their respective legislators, they were usually retired politicians, statesmen, former governors, people who were no longer politically ambitious and were able to represent the interests of the State.
