Yeah, and only a criminal needs a gun....Why else would you ever need one unless you are a cop or criminal?
This train of thought really pisses me off. Just because one kid can't behave at recess, should all the kids be kept inside, away from the swingset?
Oh gee, we aren't kids, are we. This isn't a swingset that we are talking about, but the Liberty of a self-directed adult. I guess I can always hope that you are just a Troll.
Wasn't this previously a feature in the mobile line? Or did the mobiles throttle merely for battery life? I fail to see a problem with the feature as long as adequate cooling can be achieved that will allow you to run intensive apps without throttling coming in to play 95% of the time. Better this I suppose than the ease of frying Thunderbirds that I have heard about. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have an Athlon than a P4 myself, but I about crapped when I saw Patrick Norton on The Screen Savers on TechTV frying Athlons merely by booting for a couple of seconds without a heat sink installed.
I picked this up at the local Borders recently from the big piles of out-of-print stuff up at the front of the store. I think I paid around 5 bucks for it, and it included the "zen" title on CD. I can't imagine wanting to DL this to read. This baby is a fairly thick book. Hopefully there are still more available at other Borders for other people.
As I followed the Mozilla Milestones upward I was truly hopeful that when Netscape 6 final came around, it would be a good product. Sadly, as is the case far too often with software today, it should still be in its beta stages. I mean lets be serious. This thing is an attrocious resource hog. It has many VERY annoying bugs. (Locks up a lot on the least bit challenging pages, like the ones at netscape.com(!!!), shows phantom new messages in the inbox, etc.) I truly like the format of the software, the mail and news interface is nice, but the bugs are more than I can handle. My main gripe is just the fact that they consider this a major release. Come on, you've waited this long since the last version, why distribute this now?
Does anyone else feel that Tom is becoming less and less credible by the minute? I mean, give me a break here. Anyone with half a brain knows what bull most benchmarks are compared to real world tests. If he's really that unsure about how he feels about a product, maybe he should just shut the fuck up til someone makes up his mind for him.
The Gerber multi-tools are nicer than the leatherman imho, but I generally find all of the multi-tools to be a sacrifice in the long run. It seems as though the multi-tools suffer from a torque loss across the board. The pliers are often ungainly for heavy twisting applications, the knives are uncomfortable at best, and the screwdrivers are generally junk. This spider appears even worse in that not only is it ungainly, but it also has several parts for you to misplace. I personally carry a small pair of Snap-on combination pliers in one pocket, a good pocket knife in the other, and a mini flat bladed screwdriver in my breast pocket. Any jams that they won't get me out of are too big for a multi-tool anyways.
Cost of living isn't horrible in Canada?!?!?!
Maybe if you don't add up all of the taxes paid.
