Suppose you could generate a lower E.T. by driving wheels with the power instead of using strictly the push of the jet? 20 meters on pavement seems like its a long enough distance that you'd be coasting by the end under jet power. Perhaps you could harness more of the energy by driving wheels.
Or not. What do I know. Guess I'll have to try it and see. Incidentally, why do they limit charging it to a bicycle pump? 70 psi is 70 psi if it came from a pigs lips or an air compressor.
I think it was first come first serve. McDonalds and several other big corporations went after thier domain names in court IIRC, and won them. This made lots of money for lawyers, and cost everyone else big bucks, and wasted time in the legal system. I guess what it comes down to is that copyright holders should get first refusal on a domain name, and after that its up for dibbs. Sounds like a logistical nightmare to me.
Someone should come up with an induction charging system for small devices like this. Set up a charging station next to your bed, your armchair, your desk, and in your car, and you should never have to remove the device from your body for charging purposes. There's probably a health risk involved in sitting in the middle of a magnetic field all the time, but how much worse than a monitor could it be?
Working as a group is a skill that should be learned long before college. There will always be people that milk the group. If you need to learn to play well with others at the age of 19....yer screwed.
Is the Internet going away and nobody told me? Somehow I doubt that anything happening today will be the _last_ great Internet scam.

Actually, as a true Red Sox fan, this time of year the Sox are getting creamed, so all we have to look forward to is the Yankee's getting beat. It makes it even better when its the O's that beat em.
10 bucks says that under 10% of the people that lurk here even know what in the hell a hemi is, let alone would know what one was if they saw it. Sad fact of reality.
Thank god the great inventors of our time haven't had this same demeanor. All trucks would be diesel/trucks and all ac powered devices would be tesla/(insert device name here). After all, where would these things be without the inventions of these great men?
I'm all for Internet access in libraries and tons of other projects that will advance society. I'm just not for sending tax dollars to Washington to pay for it. I prefer to see local money going to fund local projects. My locality can't build a new school without going over budget and outside a given timeline. If they can screw it up 2 miles away from my house, imagine how bad a job they can do spending my money in DC. The impracticality of providing for the common defense on a local level is obvious. Nearly everything else I'd rather see handled at home, in my municipality, my state, or by the private sector. I'm no dittohead. I do listen to Rush occasionally, but not to be fed my daily dose of rhetoric. I do it for the same reason as I watch the network news. Just to see what fodder the sheep are being fed.
I hear the complaining about budget spending on weaponry versus other things in the United States all the time. You can complain all you want, but with a quick read of the Constitution you would see that this is one area that the federal government actually is supposed to be spending our tax dollars. Everyone gets that warm feeling when they see money going to farms, fun little really fast planes, train stations named after Senators, Internet connections in libraries, and all kinds of other pork barrel projects that are not provided for by the Constitution (Unconstitutional legislation is another matter). Defense spending is covered by that document composed by those old 18th Century extremists.
Chuck Schumer is just a gas bag looking for a little press. Apparently the check from Microsoft didn't come in this month. It's amazing how he has suddenly started caring a great deal more for the public then he did during the Waco hearings.
So there are people who live in areas that have adequate bandwidth to listen to music that sounds better than am quality, but don't have a variety of radio stations available? Heh, who'd of thought it. I live in the boonies myself, but there are a couple of non country stations available, but a complete lack of decent bandwidth.
Ultimately, this question dwells in my head every time someone speaks of internet radio stations. Why do people listen to internet radio stations when a boom box sounds better and doesn't eat bandwidth? I can understand the neat-o factor, but come on, my sony CD boom box sounds mucho better than internet radio, and doesn't take a slice of my bandwidth pie.
What the hell fun is that? Granted it sounds incredibly functional, but not a single warranty is voided in the process, nor does it involve the use of any common household items.
As an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician with L1 Advanced Engine Performance credentials, I can see that roughly 98% of the posters on this topic know absolute shit about the automotive industry and the technology therein. Never have I seen such a group of egotistical idiots speaking as though they have any concept as to what they speak of. All of you....get a life and go with what you know, otherwise, shut the hell up. If there is anyone that takes any posting to Slashdot as that of an authoritative individual, they are in sad shape.

How about Gilat satellite? They offer speeds up to 3 megabits.

Umm, people with green cards and non-US passports aren't citzens, so I think you're ok.
What mistakes are you refering to?
