And I shall say that I think Churchill was wrong.

Sortocracy was used very successfully by Athens and was a big success for them... until Sparta whipped their butts at least. Athens was a place of great freedom- arts, philosophy, intellectualism flourished. Can't argue with that.

What does rule by sorti offer that democracy doesn't? What if our houses were picked by sorti?

A true-wide spectrum representation of the people- and yes, that means even "nutters" get a say and speak if they are "elected" - but they do represent a portion of the population.

Corruption diminished; lobbyists power diminished. Less expense in chosing leaders. People do what they believe is right- not what they believe is popular. No emergence of a ruling elite.

Democracy is better than most systems- but I believe sortocracy would be better yet.

Half the time I get them wrong. I swear a computer would HAVE to be better at translating them than me. This video is going to help- but we have to face the fact... EVENTUALLY, no captcha device will be able to block bots but not people.

EVENTUALLY all bots will be better at breaking all captchas than humans will be.

There will probably be a time we look back on the good old days when the internet was usable by humans as a means of communication.

Iran wont let the IAEA confirm that it's compliant, make of that what you will, but I suspect if a country was in compliance there'd be absolutely no reason to not let the IAEA confirm that to be the case.

    Not defending Iran... but...

If you're doing nothing wrong- you wouldn't mind the police routinely searching your home without a warrant. Or you Sig Other going through your cell phone call list/web history routinely.

Iran may or may not be doing anything wrong- but not letting inspectors have full access is not a sign of guilt. I wouldn't want the police randomly searching my house- I'm not breaking any laws (that I know of) but it's the kind of violation that you don't want occurring without necessity.

Again, I'm not defending Iran- they're clearly not "squeaky clean"- but the fact that they do have so many enemies may make them less wanting to endure being investigated and spied on. You say you're going to make sure we're not making nukes- they say, you're coming to spy on our infrastructure to build an attack plan on how to disable us.
