heh, I read what about Mega Raid? I couldn't figure out why you would use hard drives to collect space junk.
I should wear my glasses and not drink beer when reading Slashdot.
Make it cheaper and stop being assholes with the ever changing slot design. And hey here's an idea, make a chip that runs somewhere south of the temperature of the sun.
dude, when was the last time you built a computer? At idle I can't even get my Core2 to turn on the fan on the CPU heatsink, and as I recall, LGA775 has been around now for a couple of years. Ass-u-me-ing that I misconstrued what you meant by "slot" and you actually mean the plug in card slots, I gotta say "huh?" PCI and PCI Express seem to be pretty ubiquitous these days.
I don't even know why I'm responding, I think I've finally cracked.
Remember that movie Real Genius? Is this as powerful as that? seriously, what I'm interested in is the non-military applications of technologies like this. Oh yeah, and if it was a weapon, what would be the effective range at 65kW or 100kW? The article is a little light on information.
my clan runs two of these CS:S servers on a single machine, it really does seem like the bandwidth should be offset by at least credits to the admin's steam account. Our clan donates money to help pay for the bandwidth, that now Valve is going to monetarily benefit more from (than just users purchasing the game). I'm not a happy server op.
Wow, I read this and thought "American Indians" the whole time I was reading it. Only from within the comments did I realize my mistake...
