Can you purposely trash the index of the CDs so that PC drives cannot read them correctly but at the same time have zero effect on audio drives?
It would seem to me that you could put data where the "index" should be that would spork most operating systems as OSes rely on standards.
Since I never ever looked at CD specs I have no clue if this can be done. I just don't see how my cd player can be made to NOT read a CD unless it is purposely loaded with bad data that the CD drive or operating system will search out for first as compared to straight audio-only solutions

Why are these recommended for "LAN PARTIES" cases always "BIG" and noisy?
The last thing I want to do is lug a case that weighs as much as most monitors, and takes up space in my car (which is a Miata)
An "Ideal" lan-party case for me would be similar to a streamline desktop, with possibly more than one fan out the back. Being a "party" case I won't need more than one harddrive, cdrom, and floppy... throw in my vid, sound, net, and a vortex fan (sit in slot between vid / other cards) and I think I would be just fine.
The biggest joke about lan parties is watching just what some people are willing to bring!!! Hell!, rent a u-haul next time!

Considering their consistency of logic and facts I think we have our anwser
and defame all you want.
It doesn't matter, because your are easily seen for what you are.
The government of that paticular school is responsible for the legal costs accrued during this episode. Flat out, they are the ones who took action, so they are required to ensure they do it legally, so they are responsible should the prosecution fail.
The real issue here isn't students reporting students, which is something they should do when the occasion warrants, its the fact that troublemakers like this kid can sue the people who report him.
Thats intimidation clear and simple, and its wholly helped along by the greedy lawyers that infect this land like a plague.
The kids must show the responsibility of being citizens by reporting people who are a risk to others. If we allow intimidation such as this to continue pretty soon we will end up with more Columbines because everyone looked the other way.

Again, the real story is the fact the school proceeded with an unfit case, lost in higher court, and now refuses to pay legal fees for those who provided information to their case. Let alone the fact that the parents of this young girl should never have been sued in the first place... however lawyers being greedy souless bastards only want one thing, money. Justice is secondary
