Of course, how biased are these 'experts'? Of course they'll buy stock of their own, tout it as the next big thing, get you to buy in, and sell off before it comes back down to market value (which it generally does, assuming it starts above market, of course!)
The golden rule with investing is: the higher the return, the higher the risk. IPOs may be a great way to make money in the short term. They may equally be a great way to get burnt. Examine your needs and wants and determine what type of company is best for you.
I am certainly going to tell you this, because it is the fact. Anecdotal evidence regarding lamb or any other single commodity does not provide proof otherwise. As a counter example, look at the awful shellacking the US is taking in it's steel industry due to dumping at below cost prices by Far Eastern nations. The US was the inventor of the TV and the VCR. Are VCRs made in the US? Not any more. Ditto TV tubes. What other nation would allow something like steel to be eviscerated in this mannerI am certainly going to tell you this, because it is the fact. Doesn't imply open. Implies flawed. Read Michael Crichton's Rising Sun for an interesting insight into this. Americans frequently complain about the Japanese behaviour business-wise. If you're behind the eight ball, it's your job to adapt to the other party, not vice versa.
Wouldn't it be simpler (if less fun) to perform image analysis on the image...
I just remember reading Michael Crichton's Rising Sun which went into detail on image analysis etc as it related to video. The image would not be 'still' in the sense that even if nothing is happening on screen, due to the technologies, there will be inherent 'movement'. There are algorithms available which will allow real movement to be detected and so on.
JPG is a pathetic format for something like this which (being a bit of a skeptic myself) a skeptic could easily tear apart. At least bump the quality up to maximum. Having said that, I haven't seen any TIFF cameras around lately.:)
Telstra AU has at least 150mbps of links to the states. The US companies at the other ends of those links said - "We're not paying for any of that. You just want to connect to us". So Telstra paid.
A while back, Telstra took stats and at least 25-30% of traffic was US outbound - i.e. originated. Reasonable suggestion: ask US companies to pay 30% of link costs - remember AU's geographic isolation. Those links are friggin' expensive. They were point blank refused.
Hearsay: I think I heard rumblings about it going to court.
To the uninitiated (i.e. the vast majority, The Internet == the WWW. Hypertext linking has nothing to do with WWW? I'll let your stupidity speak for itself.
Ask Australian farmers about lamb imports into the US. How, after the Aus. Government made some concessions for US farmers to make inroads here, the US Gov turned around and said "Well, thanks for that, oh and we'll increase tariffs on your lamb by x%" (x being about 50, iirc).
Don't tell me the US is the most open trade economy. It's not. It, like *every* other trade economy has, as a primary motivator, self-interest.
Ummm... who the hell appointed you as my spokesperson? I'm a member of the Linux community. I run Linux servers. I convert work servers from NT to Linux. I've converted friends. I don't feel "attacked".
>Now then... the part about what order the animals >was created in is not quite right. First >there was Adam, and then Eve was created from >one of Adam's ribs, right?
Which would contradict the fact both males and females have an equal number.
So all living creatures apart from humans are mindless zombies? Not sentient creatures (okay, I'll grant you, most lower order creatures aren't sentient, but not the case with cats etc)
I just imagine teen script kiddies getting a hardon at being able to pump 100mbps+ of ICMP at a machine and somehow equating it with anything of value:)
How many people took part in a "Crack This Machine" contest and didn't use it as an excuse to DoS the machine into death throes, which is what 99% of script kiddies did - thinking somehow it'll help them get r00t. a la irc, where splitting off a server can be quite advatnageous
You're talking to the same society that requires doctors (whoever) to swab the injection site of a prisoner about to get a lethal injection so it is less prone to infection...;)
Yes I would consider it wrong. Do we spend our time researching to help the thousands of animals with genetic defects? No. Why should they be forced against their will to 'help' our research.
I tried RC2 - it crashed my machine on starting the DVD Player - Videologic/RealMPEG/Pioneer.
Yes, it's offtopic.

Not that you'd want to sound racist or anything like that :P

Now who's stupid?
Clue: I worked at a commercial software company, whose attitude towards piracy was they'd do it, but if you pirated the software *they* wrote...
But I somehow doubt Linux/BSD/etal will be extinguished...
Have a look for the Linux Administrators Security Guide (LASG), has info on chrooting most of the services which can be chrooted.
They put both servers behind Raptor firewall

You can actually apply to be set up like that, if you're willing to admin the subdomain and can justify it...

So much for 'freedom'.

Bully syndrome. I'm bigger than you. Ergo I'm better than you.
*sigh*

I think it spins on its axis a different way, but not orbits backwards
