THE real problem is my web browser that doesn't have the option to change the User Agent.

So the solutions are to tell Facebook to not redirect to m.facebook when accessed from tablet or change the user agent. The latter cover up both.

TFA mentions ,as a demonstration for investors that the company is growing, the new Timeline thing, the suicide prevent service and buying Instagram for 1 billion.
I don't really think that's appropriate achievement for a company with supposedly millions of dollars in it's pocket.

It mentions also some risks that could happen and 'hurt' the company, so investors should take notes on that. Some of them are interesting and are usually commented on /..

Last paragraph of TFA says that nobody has to worry on the risks because Zuckeberg is a genius. Isn't that amusing?

Thanks to clarify that, I obviously missed something important. But as you added information I'll do it to.

In my country elections for the leader of a political party are regulated, those elections are known as " Internal elections" (Duh) and take place depending if elections are for Province or Nation. It's like this partys are subdivided in... let's say two partys, which their aim in politics it's the same (they are both socialist for example) but differ in some aspects. This is what for this elections are, everyone (not only political from party) vote, the same as they where regular voting. Once this elections finalize, there are less conflicts in partys so they have a clear leader and they go for all to the defining elections for Province or Nation, whatever it is.

This elections are regulated the same as you say. But what I do not know (TFA doesn't mention) if in those elections in Canada for their party leader, everyone can vote or only their members. In my opinion, that's relevant, but either case that's not regulated so its okay that they did it electronically.

At least we had Orwell, to say "Hey! that's a telescreen, I don't want that, it's too dangerous" Thanks to Orwell (Bradbury too, Fahrenheit 451), I know how Dystopias look like.

I really can't understand how could anyone have a friend that seems willing to commit suicide and just tell that friend "Hey, there's a help-chat thing in facebook". Really, from responses I read it looks like everyone prefers to get in touch via internet than make a phone call or show up at firend's house. Kind of creepy.

May be I misunderstood the comments but i didn't read a single that said this Suicide Prevention it's useless. We are talking about serious stuff. My point: CAN A CHAT BOX -with 'Facebook'- SOLVE SUICIDE PROBLEMS??

  15. Because my corrupt goverment says so. on What's Keeping You On Windows? · · Score: 1

Every Accountant in my country HAS to use Windows even if they don't want to.

A software is required to every accountant to report company conditions/status, taxes situation and related administrative information to the government institution that manages this. This software as you imagine, is provided by this institution and obviously is proprietary and only compatible with Windows.(I am pretty sure that the government gets some "stuff" from Microsoft, I actually read about a governor receiving a million bucks from them.)

Other submissions alike to be necessary and required from accountants to report, are made online. But the problem is also that their page service is only compatible with Internet Explorer. (I tried changing user agent with no luck)

For the worst, they take advantages of this situation because as they know, most of this people cant buy all those licenses from Microsoft, so they occasionally start sending inspectors. I know, its wrong "not buying" Windows but its near extortion what they do. They make you use windows, if you cant buy it then... you just cant work. This happens in a large country therefore millions of people are affected I estimate.

Everybody needs to do something useful in order to make ourself useful, even if we dont enjoy it. May be, just the fact that we accomplish something and do "something productive" is what we enjoy. What i can tell is that we are supposed to discuss about Windows.
