First of all, how many cities was this movie playing in? I heard just a limited number and I was in Toledo OH when it was.
After not being able to see it for a day after being sold out, we got to see it Sunday. I was a wee bit dissapointed with the outcome of our waiting and our money.
I have to give it credit for being weird with the 16mm camera and all, but I think the movie just lacked. I won't spoil anything, but the ending was terrible and left tons to be desired. Just a quick note that after the movie, everyone stood up and like looked around quietly. Most were moaning, laughing, or bitching. One person yelled "MIIIKE!!" which made everyone laugh. But that mood should tell you something.
I have to say that it was a bit scary with not knowing what was going to happen and all, but after all that waiting, wondering, and thinking, the outcome was poor and didn't really do anything for the movie.
Those are my thoughts. Does anyone know if this is real.. I know it probably isn't, but I've heard on a radio station claiming it's real and stuff.
I think that E*Trade is wrong in what they did and will continue to do in the future. When RedHat sent out those emails to all of those linux developers, they must have known that not all of them are wealthly or rich.
While in current time, many people at younger ages are getting rich and having lots of money, this dosen't mean that the majority of linux hackers and developers are rich.
I think that RedHat should have talked extensivly with E*Trade before sending out those emails about how many people would be denied or somehow had them change in order to allow more people to buy stock.
It's very true that it dosen't matter if the developers are paided by Netscape or not, it's all work. In this article they make the distinction that no one should care about what developers get paid or not.
That article is very wrong in what it says. First of all, speaking on open source subjects, it's very dumb to do critizing other open-source sites. It's like killing your own kind. Besides all that stuff being false, does this guy actually want to hurt Rob? How lame.
Quite frankly, I don't understand why Jwz has to explain anything to anyone. It was his decision, and if he wanted to buy a blind camel, it's his decision, and nothing can stop him. And he shouldn't have to explain his morals and every move towards doing it.
That's ok, I was thinking I might be crazy as I just visited the park and saw it.:) And I was actually going to go to to a concert(offspring and lit), but the wonderful thing called work stopped me going.:)
It loads a lot faster but also it dosen't have as much content. Where did all the streams and feeds go. Even though they might have been slow, they were cool as a portal site.
Yah, I like Darien Lake even though it is 2 hours away, opposed to 4 1/2 to Cedar Point. Yah I heard about that accident as it was huge news around here(and obvisously where you live). On all the news stations and such. Wasen't there another accident on Superman also? I think I remember hearing something about another one, hrm.
Well, the history of Darien Lake goes a long way back to when it was a small little park and there were some rides there. Since it has been bought by SixFlags, and just before that, they started getting more rides and I guess more is on the way. So in the future it should develop into a really big theme park. Now if they can make it so it dosen't take 20 minutes to walk to your car.:)
Woah, woah, I think we are talking about a different ride here. I am talking about "Superman - Ride of Steel" at Six Flags Darien Lake NY.
As for the not being a roller coaster, it has a track, long train of 15+ cars, many hills, and lots of ups and downs. There are at least 5+ hills. What does the ride do that you are thinking of? You _have_ to be thinking of a different ride because this is a 100% roller coaster.
Of course it's a roller coaster. There aren't any loops or anything, just fast speeds and huge drops. It is a 100% roller coaster, and it couldn't be anything else. Are you talking about the Superman @ Darien Lake NY? What is the freefall?
I don't know the exact height, but the brand new roller coaster @ Six Flags in Darien Lake called "Superman, Ride of steel" is huge. The biggest ride I have _ever_ seen.
Yah, I realize they are being directed towards students, but they are making it out to be a big workhorse power machine, with a funky twist. I know personally I wouldn't like to use one, as people would probably mock me.
I think this week is better than the inital one, as it flows smoothly, and there aren't many pauses between dialog. The sound effects, which I persume are added after the recording, go in well, and are ok quality. One thing maybe could be have them be a little less loud, so we can hear the intro better. But it was overall good and i'll be looking forward for the next edition.
Not everything that is delivered via the United States Postal Service is junk mail and spam. I personally get 2 different magazine subscriptions, one of which is the Linux Journal(Which speaking of, I should finish reading it any minute now). What about resumes sent to companies, letters sent telling someone they were excepted to a college, or report cards for the school kids. All of these things maninly aren't online yet, and all of them are important to the people they deal with. These are just some reasons why the USPS won't become obsolete, at least not in the next 25+ years.
And speaking of shipping, I believe @ CheapBytes, there is only one way to ship, and that is via USPS, costing you 5 bucks in most cases. Pretty cheap to me.
The new iBook looks like those childrens toys you see at the store that you can type your name in and it makes sounds. Even though it may be very powerful, the iBook is something I wouldn't want to take to a job.

Well I don't think they are going to be building it already; I think they said sometime in the year 2000-2001+.

No one said that, but what I did say was that I would not be caught dead with one of those, running linux, macos or whatnot.

The whole reason for the tiered seating is to _not_ block the view of people.

They said it is going to be right in the middle of the park.

Does anyone have a mirror of these broadcasts? I guess it's obvious that one or two servers arent going to need an entire slashdot crowd.
How many boards total did this guy accomplish? It must be very high.
