Noticing a trend between what you have said and your signature I couldn't help but question, "how is Atheism not a religion?"
I'm assuming you feel "humans were not designed" because there is zero irrefutable proof and, as such, requires "faith" to think that. However, the counter-argument is that, you have zero irrefutable proof to the contrary, that humans have evolved. In such a case then you must have "faith" that what you have read, studied, pondered, etc. is in fact truth.
Consider the original question: How is Atheism not a religion? Most people define "religion" as a faith in the unseen. Apply that to your zero-proof theorem that humans are participating in the "great game of evolution" and you have faith in the unseen.
As a side note, I completely agree that agnosticism is the absence of decisiveness.
To the real topic at hand: it doesn't take much to realize that women have a built-in need to have children (not to mention the hardware required). Whether you want to attribute that to culture, religion, science, economics or whatever, the truth is, the need is there. Much the same way men have a need for sexual release. You can try to study things and act all "scientific" about it, but that is the way we, as humans, operate.
Am I the _only_ one reading this that knows how to correctly spell the names of the characters on Star Trek: TNG? C'mon, the name is Geordi LaForge, not Jordi! And Cue?! His name is Q for crying out loud. Get with the program folks.
Yes, I'm sorry, your poor grandmother was gangraped and pillaged because she wrote a beautiful paper...BY ME! I'm sorry, but was I alive back whence? Just because you are a hate-filled feminazi doesn't mean that every male hates you, or wants to get in your pants. I am a geeky male and don't want anything to do with you.
Women need to grow up and discover that for the past 20 years they have had the world handed to them on a silver platter and don't even realize it. I for one am tired of being accused of denying women their rights to this and raping women for that, etc, etc on and on an blah blah blah. GET OVER IT! It happened in the past and do you know why it happened? Does anyone study the past? No, they whine about it and then blame the men of today for it. The real answer is in Feminism!
Sue me, I'm not politically correct and never will be. I despise women that blame men for their lack of abilities and how they were "oppressed" for centuries. BALONEY! You weren't oppressed then and you aren't oppressed now. What you were was doing your womanly duty of tending to the house and children. If you look at any history book that is what women did, PERIOD! Only since WWII did women start complaining about how tough they have and how unequal it is for them.
Women can live much happier lives then men by staying home and hanging out with the kids and going out to do things with other mothers. I wish that guys could have it so easy. No, I have to slog off to my minimum wage job just so I can afford to put food on the table for my wife and I. Do you think I complain about it? Sure I do. I hate not being able to get a job I'm completely qualified for because of A) Affirmative Action or B) my lack of a college degree. (I have many reasons why I didn't go to college which I am not going to get into here.)
But just let me leave it at this. Women and men ARE NOT EQUAL. They never have been and NEVER will be. All the legislation in the world won't change that fact. Women aren't in CS because it doesn't interest them (for the most part.) For the same reason most men aren't in Art or English, it simply doesn't interest them as much. Until women get off their soapbox and stop complaining about how tough they have it we'll never get anywhere.
PS Don't stereotype men as porn addicted ever again! I for one detest it and try to get people to stop looking at it because it destroys families.
So it makes me an automaton to get my daily tech news from slashdot? I guess if you want to see it that way, fine, I am. But, where pray tell do you get your daily news? If not from slashdot, Mr. Anonymous Coward, then where? You must read here enough to have noticed my comment...
What I find annoying is this...who among us actually used Napster for any period of time? Sure I used it for a few weeks right before the huge craze. But after that I decided IRC was still better than Napster. Napster didn't do anything besides create a media craze for this thing called "mp3s" which then spawned innovations like "mp3 players." The only reason Napster made it so big was the response of the millions of automaton drones spread across American that only know how to follow the latest trend.
Rather than bashing other browsers or saying one is better than the other. Why doesn't everyone just twiddle theirs thumbs and wait for the code to come out? Then we will see if a) they are in fact the fastest web browser and b) just how opera ranks vs Mozilla, etc.
Does the RIAA actually think this plan will work? I mean come on! They are going to constantly d/l the same song at slow speeds to keep others from getting it?! What kind of plan is that? Do they have any idea how much time and money that will take them? I don't know of any record labels that are going to want to front the cash to setup something of that magnitude. But, I guess all we can do is watch and see what they do...it will be funny in the meantime.

Very nicely put, too bad I didn't think of that. :)

I for one can't wait to try it out.
