    Really? Not only do the words "police action" not appear in the Afganistan or Iraq resolutions... the meaning of the term "military force" is quite clear. Sorry to see that you think the words "Declaration of War" are required to make such a resolution one.

    Maybe I'm just slow... but any chance you could point out the line in the constitution which defines exactly what the wording requirements are for a 'Declaration of War'?

    Last time I checked... the bills authorizing the use of force in Iraq & Afghanistan read much like a 'Declaration of War'... and authorize much the same thing... only lack the title of 'Declaration of War'.

    Do please tell the class what the difference is.

    If it is an act of war against a foreign nation... what do you call it when several helicopters full of navy seals are sent into a foreign nation to kidnap or kill an individual who is living there with the implicit permission of the host nation, killing anyone who resists, taking the body of the target out... all without notice or permission of the host nation?

    Do you really want to play a game of "lets pick and choose what we call an act of war"?

    Tis interesting that an Executive Branch office would make such a report to him so soon after this news was leaked... you'd think the White House would have better control over the SEC... the same way it does the NLRB, EPA, or DOJ (oh I look forward to Holder going over F&F (though he should have never been given the job)).

    Do the feds require that? Or is it the states that do?

    No one has questioned whether MA (or another state) has the right to require it's citizens to carry health insurance... the issue here is if the feds can require it of all of us.

    I do have to give Obama credit for being the first president in the history of the War Powers Act to violate it. All others did not think it constitutional... but still adhered.

    While we may not know your level of education... it is clear from your posts here you possess not only a tremendous intellect, but also a kind of professionalism and maturity that combined would be a winning combination for almost any employer, in any industry in this country.

    No doubt it is the loss of all of those companies who have turned you down for better jobs with better insurance.

    You call a 40% tax on an already very expensive (self insured) health insurance plan is a 'minor profit loss'?

    Do tell then... at what point would you say "Well... I guess the tax is a bit high then, I guess changing things might be in order"? 50%? 75%? 100%? 500% 1000%?

    Yes... my company is a cheep whore because it, like many were not keen on paying the 40% tax that will be imposed on their health insurance plans come 2018.

    I would expect that if tomorrow you learn that anything you buy on my own is going to get a new tax at a similar rate down the line... that you too (like most persons or companies) will try to find a way to avoid* that tax.

    *Note the use of the word 'avoid', vs 'evade', there is a key difference when talking about taxes to each term.

    Wait? We shouldn’t blame the government or they law when they are the one that imposed a 40%, nondeductible tax on so called ‘Cadillac plans’ and the companies that offer them?

    Riiiight.

    Heaven forbid any organization (public or private) say “Gee, our costs are skyrocketing due to a new law... rather than pay the added costs... lets see if we can’t find a way to be taxed less.”

    Private individuals do it... why shouldn’t corportations?

    Have you ever heard of April 15th and the IRS? Have you completely forgotten about the tax system that bills you for services that you use and as a bonus bills you for services that you don't want and for services that you will never use.

    Odd billing system where I have to bill myself, do the math myself, send it in and hope to god my #'s match theirs... if not, it's my fault, even if my employer, tax guy or the IRS screwed up.

    If we were to do away with the mandatory withholding system... and each year the IRS presented me with a bill to which I would cut a check for... I would be far more willing to accept it as it would mean that I (and others) have a firmer grasp as to just how much money we are paying in (federal) taxes. The current system hides so much of the cost as so much of what you pay you never really owned.

    Consulted Congress? He had congressional authorization for Iraq and Afghanistan... hell, Obama has in effect begun two new wars, and without any Congressional approval (not that it is required).

    I can only hope that the Congressional leadership will grow a pair and cut off funding for some of these new kinetic military actions.

    It's called the War Powers Resolution for a reason... it was a resolution, of Congress... which does not have the signature of a President... it was not vetoed... or even pocket vetoed... because it was never presented to a President for his signature... preventing any possibility of a veto override.

    As much as I loathe this President... I do have to give him credit for standing up against the WPA... it’s a shame he’s not competent enough to recognize the reality of the WPA and state it... rather than playing these games.

    Again... it is not clear that the copy of gpgv2 is in violation of the GPLv3.

    Unless the code used to build it is different than that on some major repository or distro... they can simply point to that for the code in question.

    If they modified it and are not making available their changes... then yes, they are in violation of any version of the GPL.

    If you cannot use your own custom version of gpgv2 in place of what they are without their magic keys... then they would be in violation of the GPLv3.

    Nothing said in the post indicates any of the three... and until it does, this is an accusation which needs to be proven by the accuser, not the accused.

    That's not what TFA says... nowhere in it did I see "download gpgv2 sources, compile, attempt to run on Boxee device, see cryptographic error due to GPLv3 violating limitations."

    Simply shipping GPLv3 software on a box does not mean that everything is covered by it.

    Do tell... which fine public school did you attend to learn about that mythical portion of the Constitution? ... let alone didn't learn about the phrase "three fifths of all other Persons" (ie did not apply exclusively to blacks, nor free blacks).
