This slashdotting is getting a little out of hand. Why doesn't slashdot actually start making articles out of these news items instead of links to other sites where no one can read the news.
This is indeed very real. I know for a fact that at least 2 power companies in the US will be rolling out services like this in the beginning of 2003. Its extremely similar to cable in the sense that it goes by little neighborhood community groups. So its not going to have this huge rollout. Its actually gonna be a little slow, and troublesome. At this time this technoology does not give broadband to places in the boonies like I have read in some previous posts. This technology will only give broadband to areas that have enough people to support the costs of installing it.
Its a slackware install.. I don't feel the desire to convert all the filesystems to reiser. I have grown to like FreeBSD better for server applications. Upgradability, stability, durability.
Hopefully Slackware will soon include Reiser in the default install!
The only part that I will have to agree with is that EXT2 fs is very fast. Although my one mail server that runs linux has an 18G mail partition that has just reached 50% fragmentation. The other 3 servers run FreeBSD with 1% fragmentation. That server will be switched to FreeBSD on Tuesday. After seeing that I am having trouble convincing anyone that Linux is a good OS.. especially myself.
Gavin,
This is due to a de-peering issue. NetRail no longer meets our peering
requirements so we no longer peer with them. NetRail needs to become transient
with someone for us to start hearing routes originated from them. We have a
master ticket opened for this issue CWXXXXXXX-XXXX.
I am in a similar situation. I actually thought it would be pretty easy except for the printing! What does anyone suggest for a way to print out invoices? I have looked at a couple of PS modules for PERL and wasn't very impressed.
Sudo Chop!
I thought they would have given PHP a little better review. I just recently started learning PHP and I love it. The speed and simplicity involved with it are unmatched. I think CF's high price tag is sick considering I paid $1.95 for my Linux distro on CD. Unfortunately the corporate world and dot-com deadpool usually think the one that costs the most is the best.
Sad Me.

What if you get shock your phone while touching it? That would be sending 10,000 volts right up the kazoo!!!
