Very good point, and i agree. My cousin has gotten with a Catholic boy friend who brought her to his priest who has told her she will burn in hell if she uses birth control. She is a high school drop out (she may have her g.e.d. but i don't think so) she now has two kids by this guy and is supporting both kids and her boyfriend who refuses to watch the kids while she is at work and he refuses to get a job.
Another problem with sterilization is that of liability. I went to church (one that has no problems with use of birth control or condoms) with a doctor that was sued by a women that he a performed a hysterectomy on because she wanted kids and could not due to the surgery. The woman had come to him requesting the surgery he (she had no medical issue requiring it, it was an elective surgery) informed her that she did not need, she still wanted it, he had her get second opinions and be informed of all of the consequences of the surgery from two other doctors, she signed two release forms/waivers. When she took him to court she won any way and received millions in damages.
Personally i am in favor of a voluntary paid reverse-able sterilization program. Pay them a just less than the cost of reversing the operation. another idea might be to pay people on wellfare/entitlements slightly more if the undergo sterilization.
If they want to dive in to the deep end all the have to do is install ubuntu 12.04(I still choose ubuntu despite the crap because the install is the most painless and has all of the proprietary drivers fonts and codex) then hold down the CTRL ALT and any of the F* keys other then F7 and they will be dropped into a terminal. And since this is a web based app I doubt the project will contain all that deep a level stuff like building your own kernel or swapping out gnu utils for others versions (BSD utils Inferno's utils, etc) building a descent sized database, etc otherwise some one would turn it into another member of their bot-net or host a lamp server on on it to use as a linking site rather then as a learning tool.
the difference is in an encryption the attacker and the intended recipient are two different people. What DRM does is simply try to obscure and obfuscate the decryption buy hiding the keys that they give you but if you are determined you can dig around and find them. where with properly implemented encryption scheme you trust the recipient and give them the public key(or perform an handshake involving several key exchanges) and simply have to keep everyone else from seeing it.
Dogs can be trained to do a lot of things, and therefore can be very "useful". So people feed them.
Cats almost can't be trained, they sleep or play around the whole day. An yet people feed them as well.
Which is more intelligent, cats or dogs?
Contrary to most current applications, both cats and dogs were domesticated because they were useful. Dogs could be trained to do many useful things and breads were developed for various tasks. Cats were most useful doing what they would normally do anyway: catch and eat rodents. The only training required was to not run away from or be a menace to humans.
Could cats have been bred to be more trainable? Probably, but that wasn't there role then and it certainly isn't now.
tell that to my mage as his contingency spell transports you to some nether hell or when he casts eagles splendor when he need to talk his way out of a situation or quaffs a potion of wisdom he brewed just before casting greater wish. INT at high enough of a level can make up for a hole hell of a lot.
when it comes to multiple choice almost all test i have seen have been bad. all you have to do is find the answer with the most in common with all of the other answers. in multiple choice math there is the correct answer the inverse the reciprocal and one with simple arithmetic error and some way out of the ballpark wrong answer. i did jumped from doing poorly to okay in algebra 2 to trig by simply ignoring the real question on a standardized test and simply looking at the answers provided.
There is a difference between skills/aptitudes and intelligence. Intelligence is about handling data(using manipulating integrating it), problem solving, logic comprehension, and creativity. Social skills are just that another skill not part of intelligence. Look at it like a d&d character sheet. Charisma (social skills) have nothing to do with intellect. A large part of the problem is that people think that they need to be thought of as intelligent (I mean who wants to be thought of as stupid) so they want to label there other skills as intelligence when they are not, they are separate (yet still important) parts of a functioning person.are some skills harder to quantify maybe (social networking companies seem to think the can rank peoples social abilities). but that does not mean we can not measure intellect empirically and those measures can be useful for some things.
It's an overhaul of the Qt 4.x series and makes Qt fit for the future.
You mean to tell me that the old version of Qt were unfit?
there is a large difference between unfit and not as fit as it could be.

It is not is such a unreasonable thing as to assume basic knowledge of the field. This is a site predominantly amid at compsci people and largely open source/*nix people at that. Knowing what qt is or the ability to find out on your own what qt is, is not unreasonable here. If you think they should have give you a definition of qt then why not ask for a definition for C++ as well as that would be just as nonsensical in this context.
as i recall the first five are said to be written by Mosses before the kings of Israel and before therefore the split into Judah and Israel after Solomon died thus long before the conquest of the southern kingdom
if it is confined to iran it sounds to me like a domestic attacker, seeing how much hell he can cause while only hitting 32(or 16bit but if their nuclear program is running on 16bit windows it truly pity them as the latest they could have would be what 98SE?) bit targets
Seeings as those "religious zealots" as you called them are Jewish, they would be more than happy to publish any docs that said Jesus was not who he claimed to be. Oh and he Marry did have a husband his name was Joseph (he is usually the guy to the right of Mary in the nativity scenes the one not holding a sheep or a tacky jewelery box) the four gospel all admit that. Also the weren't hidden away I personally went and saw them on display at the Seattle Science Center a couple of years ago. Troll harder next time.
The ritualistic stuff in Leviticus was to insure it got taught to the next generation as it made it seem important to their souls survival in the afterlife, and there was a lot in there about health for example the ban on pork could be so tha they would not get trichinosis. It also banned marring of close relatives which is definitely good thing for genetic diversity and over all populations health, (that one was obviously good I mean look a pharaonic Egypt where the ruling family married siblings and cousins to keep a pure bloodline which left them with debilitating health problems). It baned polygamy and sex out side of monogamous marriage which is great for a society that lack condoms and has no other way to stop std's from spreading let alone detect or treat them. Leviticus also contains much in the way of basic sanitation and on personal hygiene, very useful for bronze age society that lacks soap that had recently escaped enslavement where they were treated like animals. It also implemented a justice system and basic legal structure and common system of shared ethics that we can all agree on (don't steal don't murder). all necessary for the building blocks for "modern" society.
if you tried to explain any of the real causes behind diseases or give them medical/scientific information they would think you a nutter. (you tell them the water down stream of the latrine has little bugs in it that will get inside of them and make them sick the would look in the water not see bugs and say your crazy, you make it a decree that their immortal soul is in the balance and the will pay attention)

hmm, Monsanto must have overlooked that last time the bought congress that will probably rectify that situation momentarily.

Let's start with something easy: cats vs. dogs.
Dogs can be trained to do a lot of things, and therefore can be very "useful". So people feed them.

silly me i thought breads were to eat.
tell that to my friend who trains search and rescue dogs.
yeah there probably is some gfactor but when you average averages you end up with fewer outliers

you almost had me until you said synergies. only HR drones say that with a straight face

Nerd sniping? (xkcd #356)
fortunately for Brian you can download prebuilt l.a.m.p. images from... oh wrong type of lamp.
easy solder a laser pointer to the side.
you never said a useful laser.
unless your program in written in brainfuck

The real question is why are you expecting quality from transforms?
Thats right most have C as there first language

yes because no one in iran could possibly write new software
