  1. not only Africa on African ISPs Being Fleeced by the West · · Score: 1

Hey, most of the "underdeveloped" countries, including Africa have to pay full price for everything, from cars to internet connection while people make extremely low salaries for a lot of work. This has been the case for many many years and that's why our countries will never develop fully.

While in America you find everything at "bargain" prices and people make a shitload of money for less work.

I like Evolution 0.9 as mailer.

  4. Do you count on Do We Spend More On Linux Or Windows? · · Score: 1

I have to work in both worlds, I use W98 at the office, because it is a standard, and even though I haven't spent a penny myself let's say that my PC has more than $ 10,000 worth of software in it (considering the upgrades of the programs every year). My Linux box at home has programs for most of the tasks I do here (except for real-time simulations and AutoCAD) and I have spent something like $ 100 in all the stuff I bought for it when I converted it from W95 to Linux, including a distribution, manuals and a "software pack". It took me a lot of time to configure my house machine, but I never lose anything in the middle of my work (like in W98), there are no viruses and I have a lot less heartburn using it. Therefore, the Linux machine costed me a lot less than the Windows one.

Hopefully people will realiza that Mozilla for WIN32 is better than IExplorer. I enjoy the version 0.9 a lot. Yet Opera can be a great commpetitor for IE, les clutter, high speed, free .... works for me

  6. Why are you surprised? on Sean In The Middle · · Score: 1

Is a pity that high school is not a learning place but a social life place. Is not about learning, it is about being popular. And the system will support you if you a re a bully, air-headed, xenophobic guy if you are a popular person. I just hope Sean can go to a school were he's talents are encouraged. He'll be a great geek. Just don't let him get into the drugs they are giving children with "learning disorders"

I'm not into porn, But I think porn is an option for the people who want to see it, thus it is a free option. I don't understand why in the US the nudity/sex theme is treated as a taboo, c'mon guys this is the 21st century. Live and let live, if you don't like porno don't buy porn.
