You're right, in the search results for "mtm special ops" Amazon does not state anywhere that it didn't find the exact phrase that was searched for. To be a little clearer, you'd think they could say that, along with "similar products:" Of course, none of the results have that exact phrase in their model name, not even "special ops."

You comment assumes that the software/firmware can be uploaded in-flight, or that the plane is connected to a network routinely that could be hacked and new software/firmware uploaded. The flight control systems are generally going to be controlled by microcontrollers running on firmware that rarely gets updated. Qualifying a change in that firmware, even one line of code, is a big deal, since a mistake can cause the plane to crash. So those systems are rarely updated, meaning that they rarely get connected to an outside system. Thus, no infection vector. I'm talking about aircraft that are in service; during roll-out, like what the F22 and F35 are currently in, updates are no doubt more frequent.

That last sentence seem funny in light of the fact that the budget was pretty much balanced under that sleazebag Clinton and then thrown back out of whack again by GWB--by cutting taxes. If you look at some of the other comments, you'll see that if we went back to Regan-era tax rates and cut spending to the same GDP percentage levels, we'd be back to a Regan-era type budget. Of course, the Fed was running a deficit under Regan.

It's not *all* about how much the Feds spend, it's also income. We could cut spending in half, but if we also cut taxes by 2/3rds, we'd still run a deficit. Over the past three decades, we've cut taxes without equal spending cuts, and now people seem to think that we can get rid of the deficit with spending cuts alone. That's just wishful thinking.

That's a strawman. They are talking about going back to Regan revenue levels, in percent, but going back to the same spending not accounting for inflation in dollars. Another post points out that we're moving back to similar spending relative to GDP, which tends to take inflation into account. So sure, go back to Reagan spending levels--as soon as we move paychecks and prices back to those levels too.

After thinking about it some more, I realized that most web sites have a copyright mark on each page. That would imply that all items, including images, are copyrighted. OTOH,placing a copyright notice implies that if you don't do so, your copyright claims are somehow diminished. Since IANAL, I have no clue how that all works out. But it seems clear that if a web page includes the copyright mark, and doesn't somehow indicate that images may be copied, then Google should probably link to the page.

IIRC, jpeg images allow header data that includes copyright info. If you don't care about use of the image, leave it blank. If you do, insert the copyright info. Google's bot can look for copyright data and if it finds it, it can link to the original html page. Otherwise, it can give a link for a direct download.

I think there was something on /. awhile back that talked about some system for the owner to indicate how an image could be used, e.g. commercial, non-commercial, free and so on. Couldn't find it on a quick search, but that might be another option to tell Google how to handle an image.
