The leg shaving isn't an "aerodynamic folly" AFAIK. Pro riders usually get a massage after races, and having shaved the hair off your legs makes it easier on both masseur and rider.

Myself, riding MTB, I prefer to shave my legs cuz it makes it easier to apply muscle oil and balms. Plus it's easier to wash off after a ride/race.
Then there's also the aesthetic side of it, it's (usually) more pleasing to see the muscles and tone.

Too bad they don't go into more detail here about whether this is a general issue with malicious websites for most browsers, or actually expoloiting some hole in IE.
Gator at least is known to exploit a hole in IE to install itself automatically. I think it's actually the same bug that the klez virus used to infect windowsboxen, but don't quote me on that one.
For more details on IE security holes you should check out the bugtraq archives.

Windows messenger _IS NOT_ part of IE.
Well, not yet anyway. But expect it to be part of the next Windows+IE+Messenger+world+dog evolution. Isn't messenger actually a part of winxp already, or can it be removed?

Actually, Office 97 can "break" printers. Word in conjunction with HP Laserjet 2100 anyway.

What you do is make a document and make sure your default printer is one that one that has more than 2 papersources. Make sure that paper source for the document is source 3 (or whatever). Save the document, and go to another pc with a HP2100 connected to it. Print the document and watch the printer wait for paper to be inserted into the manual feed, even though the internal magazine is full. This will happen not only for the document that was just printed, but for all subsequent ones too. Or anything that is dumped to the printer.

What happens is office resets the printer settings, and you have to use the DOS control panel to reset the default paper source in the printer. Can't do it from the windows control panel, oddly enough, because that setting isn't saved. Somehow word can pull it off, but HP's application can't. Weird.

    - A worm that infects iis servers with OR without index server and then spreads to other iis servers. Why haven't you patched the servers?
    - Well, I read the bulletin but it said index server, and since we aren't running it I thought I wouldn't have to install the patch?
Security guy looks the other way.
    - Uh, right... Well, even if you don't run index server we have prepared a mapping to idq.dll, just in case you would've. So, you know, just apply the patch.
    - Ok, I'll get right on it. How long's this worm been around anyway?
    - What?! You missed all the coverage in the news??
    - Yeah, I been real busy lately replying to all these messages from people writing to me for advice. Funny they all chose the same subjectline, how's that for a coincidence?

The idea as I understand it is to leave the gui at home and move all of the processing onto the servers. There's just no reason for that. We live in a day of celeron's and athlons.
I'd say, by the way that MS is going about, you'll need the athlon just to run the gui in a lifecycle or two of windows.
