I expect a monitor to last much longer than a GPU. Just like the iMac, this is a very bad idea, and will means tons of perfectly working monitors going to waste because the integrated GPU is no longer powerful enough.
I also hate that almost constant "dammit!" that happens when you get your headphone/headset cable looped under the parking brake handle, and the spare cable dance you have to do to "dress" the extra headphone/headset cable SOMEWHERE to keep it from getting caught on EVERY. SINGLE. THING.
Except this news isn't about CDMA. It's about CDMA2000, incompatible with both GSM/UMTS/W-CDMA/HSPA. Telus will still run its UMTS/HSPA as well as LTE networks. It will shutdown its CDMA2000 service.
That's the problem with Catholics - no sense of irony. If they had a sense of irony they'd have realized long ago that maybe, just maybe, torturing people and executing them in horrific ways like burning at the stake... is not very Christ-like at all.
What does it have to do with Catholics? Non-Catholic Christians haven't done any better in the past.
Linux is also better for cell phones, tablet, WiFi routers, super computers, embedded systems. There is not much left for BSD, it's mostly used as a toy.
Huh? Playstation 4, iPhone, iPad, MacOS X, Juniper Networks Junos OS, Netflix Open Connect, etc
Mac OS X / iOS has been forked from BSD long ago. Just because they are in use doesn't mean BSD is in use. Contributors (other than Apple of course) are not contributing to BSD so that Apple can sell more iPhones. They are doing it so that they can have a working Free/Net/*/BSD.
The real question is who is directly using BSD, and not a proprietary fork?

Yeah, people say "Apple Tax!" a lot, but spec-for-spec, Apple laptops are pretty much equal to other manufacturers
spec-for-spec, they lose in 99% of the use cases out there. In the other 1% which represent what Apple has to offer, they are pretty much equal to other manufacturers. What you lack with Apple is choice. When calculating the Apple tax, you must take into account all those who wanted a $500 PC, but ended-up with a $800 one because it was the cheapest Mac available. In that case, the tax is $300, even if the Mac is better.
I hear that all the time, but why would I switch operating system only for the file system? Ever heard of someone switching to Linux to get ext4 support? Or to Windows to get NTFS support? Of course not. File system is a very minor component of an operating system these days. Except if I were building a NAS, I wouldn't even consider making a comparison of file systems when choosing an OS.
The problem with the new WRT routers is that they sell for twice the value of comparable hardware from other vendors. And if you look carefully, you can find models which are just as good, if not better, in running 3rd party open source firmwares such as OpenWRT. The original WRT54G was cheap, that's why it succeeded.
Since when is Uber a ride-sharing service? Do they stop along the way to pick up people sharing your ride? Uber (except Uber Pool) is a cab service, not a ride-sharing service.
Yes, but why do you need a phone number and a powered on, connected smartphone to use the service? Why can't it work like Facebook Messenger and Google Hangouts, to name a few?
I just read the Whatsapp desktop client requires a cell phone (turned on, with signal) to operate. Therefore it is almost worthless. Whatsapp didn't gain much today.
While I agree with your sentiment and laud your commitment to opensource, there are no global systems with a userbase worth mentioning that you can communicate with using basic XMPP.
While there is no perfect solution satisfying your criteria, some are clearly worse than others. iMessage comes to my mind, because it only works on Apple products. Whatsapp was also a crappy solution with no desktop client. It still suck, because it is based on phone number as an ID.

In Canada I would definitely call them plenty. We have lower trims than in the US. Cars under $25k usually don't have bluetooth on their lower trims.

First World Problem.
Plenty of new cars don't have bluetooth, on entry-level trims.

Oh I am sure they all use BSD. Still, that must not account for more than 1-2% of the server market.

They make it for much larger 4k TVs, so I guess it's possible.
Apple is not a strong backer of OLED however. They still use LCD on their $800 iPhones.
Sane voters are sabotaging polls by saying they won't vote for Donald Trump, even if they are not his target audience.
Oh yeah sorry, I forgot. Most servers out there do not use ZFS. And they still perform stuff that matters.

Intel doesn't make chip for home routers. It's either Qualcom Atheros, Broadcom, Marvel, Realtek, and maybe others.

Weren't broadcom the worst for not open sourcing their drivers?
How is 802.11ac support in OpenWRT?

Kind of worthless isn't it? I'd just use my cell phone instead. Or most probably move.
but the reality is that money wasn't earned in the US
And you really believe it was earned in Ireland, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands?
There are a few instructions added with the Pentium Pro. And some others with MMX. Both may be required now.
