I understand the feeling, but what you are supporting is a violation of due process, is Britain going to start a department of pre-crime. Where if they think you may commit an act they will arrest you? When we start punishing people for what they think instead of their actions, any pretense of a free society gets obliterated.

One problem with the article is there is no mention of the fact this has not been vetted by peers in the field. We really need journalists to take a course on how to report on scientific papers. Just because someone wrote a paper does not make it accepted science.

I completely agree that NextGen needs to be fully implemented here. I worry about how we will privatize it as privatization in America does not tend to work out well for the mere citizen, the lack of will for serious regulation means these companies get to run roughshod over us.

  12. How is he an engineer? He has never been licensed, tested or held actual engineering credentials. He studied electrical engineering but never took the actual steps to become an engineer.

  14. 1 big difference. You are a licensed engineer in another state, this man has never been licensed, he has no credentials as an engineer other then having a degree in electrical engineering, but as I am sure you know a degree alone does not make you an engineer.

  15. Considering that it is the board in charge of licensing engineers who is making the complaint your theory doesn't really hold water.

  16. Except, studying electrical engineering does not make you an engineer, the same way that studying anatomy does not make you a doctor. He has never taken any of the steps required to be licensed as an engineer in any jurisdiction, so his claim of being a "good engineer" is false. At no point in his life in America could he ever claim to be an engineer by our standards.

  17. Nope. He has an Electrical Engineering Degree from and was an airplane camera mechanic, but at no point was he ever licensed as an engineer.
