How many giant volcanic eruptions have we been experiencing in the past century or so. Oh none right. Volcanic eruptions are about 2% of CO2 emissions currently.
No it never was. It was a non-scientific idea that had little to no support in the scientific community. But the fact you bring it up when I am sure you knew this makes the rwest of your comment suspect.
Most advanced? maybe. Most expensive? surely not. Opportunity was downright cheap, especially when you consider how far beyond it's life expectancy it has lasted.
No, she's talking about Mars, hence the "digging and cracking rocks" remark.
She's grandstanding, and lets be honest she works at NASA, and it takes a certain kind of crackpot to thrive there. A brilliant crackpot, but a crackpot nonetheless.

From the article: This hypothesis had little support in the scientific community,
So no we never thought that.

Really because a fucking actor said something?
So no, we never said that either. Ted Danson may have, but who the fuck does he speak for? no one.
Are you just pulling out things random people have said and now your claiming that they are experts? And that they speak for the scientific community?
Except when their point of view involves using money as speech. If you need to have a 130 people running around Washington throwing money around chances are what ever you want is only good for you, and more then likely bad for everyone else.
"the populace won't do anything because some celebrity news just hit the broadcast channels and *ooh look a shiny**."
That's close but not really accurate, it just sounds like you feel superior to everyone else.
The real problem is in this age of 24 hour news channels I still get more news from my local 6pm News then I do from 24 hours of Fox, CNN, MSNBC, They all harp on the same story non stop never touching one the myriad of other stuff happening in the worlds. We have no journalists willing to hold peoples feet to the fire. It's like the Press, the Politicians and their Corporate masters are all sitting around in some weird mutual reach around. It's not that we don;t want the News, it's that we are never even offered it.
Anything to back that up with? Because everything I have seen seems to explain why speeds haven't changed and that to increase speed by say 10% takes 21% more energy. So airlines would rather save fuel then reduce flight times. Drag equals the square of the increase in speed.
The whole idea behind keeping such divisive topics in the forefront (ie abortion, immigration, gay rights, etc) is to keep the country divided. It makes it so much easier to move public opinion when everyone is distracted.
Slaves weren't even considered a full person, they could not vote they could not own property, so in what way were they citizens?
Sorry but slaves were no more citizens then horses, slaves were property and honestly horses were worth more.
Oh to have mod points today.

Which party could they not campaign for?
I base my purchases on the bad reviews not the good ones.
Donate? Why donate? Aren't they trying to sell me something? Why does everything have to be some charity?

I don't know about the Tokyo earthquake, they were close on that one only off by a year. I'd call a 9.0 a "Big One". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2...
Still think you should cite your source, otherwise its just pure plagiarism.
Why because they want to steal other peoples work? It's a fucking copyright violation regardless of it's GPL status.

Because it has been such a horrible thing for phone service.
"government's intervention causes harm" So is that all the time or just this time?
Thigh gap? do you really like anorexic women?

While I agree with you that she is not presidential material, can we tone done the misogyny a bit. It really makes it hard to support your argument.

Well considering she is not debating anyone, it seems there is only "one" side to this debate.

Umm Sir Alec Guiness. The only career Star Wars launched was Harrison Ford's because everyone else already had an established career in acting.
