Alsa and esound drivers are not
included in this build
The OSS device used for playback can
be set using the AUDIO environment
variable. eg export AUDIO=/dev/dsp2
Don't do homework for MS.
After they GPL their OS i'll fill out any survey they wish; but until then they bite me.

if one burns enough companies/people over a period of time eventually it will catch up with them.
Corps remember the time that "MS stole their idea", governments remember the time that their server got hacked, joe desktop user remembers the time that he lost a 30+ page doc to a BSOD, airports remember the day their public flight schedule screens displayed a very blue message...etc...
The list is long...but my point is these experiences are not forgotten. Most users are attached to the MS UI and trapped into using their office software...this will change...we have only just begun!
As a result of seeing some of the responses for "everybuddy" i had to try it; took the rpm off the site and i have been using it all afternoon.
One feature i have noticed that odigo doesnt have (in regards to Yahoo!IM) is the 'email pager'. Once an email message is received by your yahoo account, everybuddy provides you with a notification. To date this is the only yahoo email notification solution that i am aware of which is available to linux.
Very slick piece of software...it should be recommended to all.
i have been syncing a visor
with 2.4 test kernels for ~
a year. Sometimes it's a bit
picky (ie. have to press the
sync button on the cradle
before the you can begin the
sync) but for the most part
USB & visor & linux works
perfectly.
I for one think that the media should make a
greater effort in properly utilizing the word
'hacking'. Since when does installing some
software or checking a box to enable a feature
constitute 'hacking'?
Now if these guys are porting the software
to the new code base, i would concider that
a hack. Again a distinction should be made.
