  1. We left OPN over this issue on #debian & IRC Politics · · Score: 2, Funny

I'm a channel operator for a decently-sized IRC channel and we moved to our own servers a couple of months ago in response to lilo's increasingly vocal begging. I haven't really looked back, but I can tell you it's a good day to see Bruce Perens agrees with our position.

The PC version of Neverwinter Nights will ship to retailers before the end of June. Linux gamers can anticipate the online release of the Neverwinter Nights server at launch and the client program shortly afterward. Linux gamers will still need the Windows version of the game to register at the Neverwinter Nights community site (http://neverwinternights.com) and to import essential game resources into their Linux server and game.

This is a surprise. The Linux version was supposed to ship IN THE BOX.

You idiot, if you read the article at Canada.com you'd realize CANADA HAS NO LEGALIZED POT. The senate is having HEARINGS to determine whether it should be legalized. They are INVESTIGATING LEGALIZATION. They HAVE NOT LEGALIZED IT yet. NO LAWS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AT THIS POINT. Yes, the USA is pissed off, yes, it's interesting, but don't blow it out of proportion with inaccurate reporting.

    NICE TROLL KTHXBYE.

If you wanted to fake an update, you'd need iShop/Crunchbox's secret key to sign your little bundle of destruction.

I have no idea if this is how they take care of it, but it seems like a good idea to me.

You'll obviously be abused physically and mentally during training, in order to toughen you up, but at least the army can guarantee that you won't get man-handled by that idiot sargeant.

On the other hand, why should the army make any guarantees? There are no guarantees in war. Not knowing what to expect is part of being a soldier, so I guess that's one argument in favour of physical contact.

Still, it's a volunteer military so it's good they agree to play nice at least a little bit :P
