Enterprise customers held with contempt are evaluating third party vendors they never would have considered before. If you force people to use a new interface regardless, than it's an opportunity for your customers to pick what that interface is going to be. Sales of Mac's to the Enterprise have hit record highs, Linux is breaking through where it never did before. People are even toying with Chromebooks.
This seems a tad hysterical. Enterprise users will continue to use W7 for a while yet. It still works, is still supported and is less of a headache to maintain for the tech guys than upgrading everything to work with W8. Businesses aren't clamouring to upgrade all their machinery just because MS has a newer OS.
On the basis that the 4 and 4S came nowhere near 9 million and that it's a well documented phenomenon that the bulk of preorders will hit in the first 48 hours when excitement overrides rational consumerism.
They won't break 9mil. Whatever fruit you want to talk about.
Maybe this is a bit obvious, but if a guy going by the handle pirateat40 is asking to invest my money, I'm a retard for not being justalittlefuckingbit sceptical.
What has Obama got to do with it? I said POTUS is a more influential person than some Disney channel popstar. It doesn't matter who POTUS is. Get back under your bridge, troll.
Even with each machine's contemporary software, old stuff is still slower. Windows 98 is contemporary for my 1Ghz P3, Windows 7 is for my 3.3Ghz i5. It's not just clockspeeds at the CPU either - faster buses, solid state drives, better code, more hardware optimisations in the software.
There is always the nostalgia case, but in terms of practicality, usability and user sanity, most of it is just old hat. Frankly speaking, I'd apply the same logic to most classic cars and audio equipment too. If I have a component break on me, I can source a replacement within a day for a reasonable price. If the cam shaft on a 1963 Mercedes breaks, you're shit outta luck - and that isn't practical.
You can take your fundamentals, sir, and stick them where the sun don't shine. I want Hulk-like men who can make relativistic baseball a reality!!

Wait, the lefties at the Washington Post said that their opposition on the Right is nuts? Crap, it must be true! If we apply the same logic, that means FOX News has been right about the lefties all along!!

Google+ is pretty niche and trust me, not that interesting.
Don't be silly, you don't have a girlfriend!

Not sure why they're bragging about it, they're way behind the Galaxy S3 on this particular metric.
Not a troll, just interesting to see the enormous difference in preorder sales between two companies that are constantly at each others' throats.
Holy crap, a Jimmy Buffet fan is even worse in my books...

28 floppies if memory serves. Win98 was like comparative nirvana for me; a floppy to boot and a CD to install.
Wait, you mean I CAN'T haz brain cancer??

Well, in fairness having a millions of tweens hanging on your every word is hardly 'influence' compared to, oh I don't know, being POTUS.
Influence is as much to do with the nature of your 'followers' as the influential person themselves.
This is a troll, right?
This is primary school IT right here... Crap as those lessons where, they did teach us tape drives had limited uses.
This ain't one of them.
Unless you have your backup email address set as an iCloud address somebody already got access to...
Mercedes were way ahead of the curve, they were making OHC engines back in the 50s :)
True that. Nothing more stylish than waiting for your C64 to spool the tape...

Will it matter that much if Usain Bolt destroys the field, as is the most likely outcome?
It's not about getting rich
Tell the lawyers that.
Sadly this is a continual reality for my beloved Mets, regardless of whether or not the opposition are doped up to the eyeballs on 'roids...
You can take your fundamentals, sir, and stick them where the sun don't shine. I want Hulk-like men who can make relativistic baseball a reality!! http://what-if.xkcd.com/1/
Well for starters baseball was a hell of a lot more interesting when they were jacked up enough to blast the ball out of the park...

Get a grip.
Better yet, get lapping that mofo to a point where thermal paste actually impedes thermal conduction!!
