Justin from mobileGlu here. The idea behind mobileGlu is not to live off other people's content, we are just acting as a mobile aggregator for people's flickr, delicious, upcoming, RSS etc life online, and that relationship is one to many (i.e. one user many content), not many to many like public aggregators.
The main goal behind the project is not to leech people's content, but to act as a two-way hub between the user and the web service (e.g. allowing user's to post photos from their mobile to their Flickr account, and view those photos), and to help enable other web services to get mobilised as quickly as possible.
Man, I thought it was difficult to get away from speeding tickets, now along with all the spam and pron in my mailbox I'll have to filter out summons. Will it ever stop!
When the hell is all this crap about patents going to stop!! This is getting to the point where every week I read another company getting pissed at one small linux developer.
Grow up guys!
The PC/104 is built to be easily assembled. For your needs, I seriosly think this is the best way to go. You can then just bolt on a decent video card, bolt on a decent sound card.... well you get the idea. Don't be afraid of the PC/104 it is your friend;)
The only other this is that it is damned expensive (at least a few hundred bucks for the base module). You may be better off getting a baby mobo and building it from there. To make it ultra small, use a mobo with integrated multimedia, otherwise it will be the size of a normal dektop case, except with a load of tape on it.
Man, with the US elections going this way it seems the browser wars are there too. It is gonna get to the point when we will not be using netscape because it is run by a monopoly blah blah blah. I agree, Netscape is getting too focused on revenue and not focused on usability. Unfortunate as it is, it is true:( I think Konquerer is good, ok not amazing, and I'm not a KDE fan, but it is opensource, not monopolized, and faster than the other big boys out there.

I guess it depends what programmers you are talking about. Some people love programming for 70 hours a week. Ok, I wouldn't do 70 hours a week, I have a life. But for people that can code for that long, and produce good software a high salary is and should be given.
There are some programmers who do a 9-5 and write shitty code, and they get paid a hell of a lot more for programming in VB than the people that code in C/C++ on worthwhile projects, like enterprise solutions and not a frontend to allow someone to print a document in Win95.

It'd be cool for a day after you realised that buying PS2 was a mistake, and the money you forked out for the machine could actually buy a decent DVD player. One that will fit nicely in your video cabinet, with a nice remote control and one that your mates won't break in a drunken stupor on a Saturday night playing Tekken after a heavy drinking session:)

Hello there,
Justin from mobileGlu here. The idea behind mobileGlu is not to live off other people's content, we are just acting as a mobile aggregator for people's flickr, delicious, upcoming, RSS etc life online, and that relationship is one to many (i.e. one user many content), not many to many like public aggregators.

Hope that clear some things up?
Justin
