  1. What's MS supposed to do when you stumble across an NSA sponsored "feature"? Or is this to make sure intentional vulnerabilities aren't too obvious?

They will deny it is a vulnerability and refuse to pay... After all, it's a "feature" and they already knew about it.

    Correlation does not imply causation.

The supposed "link" from vaccinations to autism is easily studied so it's actually been thoroughly studied multiple times by looking at medical records. No obvious link exists in the available data. I'd call this whole idea that there is a link a lie..

There is just about as much "proof" of the link between vaccines and autism as there is to unleaded gasoline to autism, if you follow the logic used in the first argument.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up Cain's "999" slogan in his last failed campaign bid. THAT was more pizza than pizzazz if you ask me.

Campaign slogans are pretty much ALWAYS going to be pithy and trite. You do realize that "make America great again" slogan was used by Ronald Regain (1980), and Bill Clinton used the phrase a couple of times in his 1992 run. (Hillary used it in 2008 in her failed attempt) Which makes it a oldie but a goodie given that three campaigns won using it and only Hillary lost using it.(But she's a two time presidential loser anyway).

  9. Meanwhile more and more people are realizing that "hey, being poor shouldn't mean I should have to go massively in debt just because I'm unlucky enough to get sick".

No, Obamacare means the poor must decide if they 1. Want to pay the tax/fine for not having insurance or 2. Buy insurance they couldn't hope to actually get any benefit from before they go bankrupt paying the deductible AND the premiums.

What good is insurance if you cannot afford to pay the premiums and food at the same time? What good is having coverage if you cannot pay the required deductible? THIS is the problem of Obamacare, because it hammers the poor with HUGE costs up front when they pay just their premiums, even if they don't get sick, then hammers the sick again with huge deductibles on top of that when they have to use their coverage.

Obamacare is failing and is fast becoming unavailable and hugely expensive.. But that was the whole plan. It was SUPPOSED to fail, AFTER Obama left office, to create a crisis to be used to sell a new and bigger program to the now entitled to healthcare masses... It's how democrats do things..

  10. LOL.. Aircraft which are out of kilter weight and balance wise are very much the passengers problem, even if they are unaware of the issues. Unfortunately, overweight or aircraft with out of tolerance centers of gravity are exceedingly dangerous things to fly around in. Problem is that pilots don't necessarily know about the problem until it's too late. The aircraft still flies, until you happen to hit a part of the performance envelope where weight and balance start to play a role (like on short final when slowing down or on departure when going slow), then the aircraft becomes unflyable and crashes. Everybody has a bad day in these cases, and it's happened more times than you'd care to know.

  11. Guess you got triggered there.... Sorry... Not!

Look, you have to get a bit less thin skinned to play this political game well. All the tantrums and rioting is not helping your cause and I suggest you tone down the rhetoric a bit.. I suppose that the political reality will kick in mid-winter when the mid terms get started and your side will have to dial it back a bit to stay in contention or lose big again, but that's up to you. At least that's how it seems from over here on the right.

The democrats are searching for a reason, any reason, no matter how crazy or ill-advised that will hopefully get people to the polls to vote for them. This is but a trial balloon to test the political winds aloft.

They already know that the Anti-Trust laws exist, they don't care. They NEED a cause (other than bashing Trump or keeping Obamacare which is for their base) to recapture the middle. This is a good as any I suppose..

I figure this trial won't gain much traction..

  14. Both are Both....

  15. My dad worked for them for 35 years starting just before the transition to jets, and I can assure you there is nothing I've seen so far, they cannot mess up with stupid mismanagement and/or lack of caring. They've even managed to mess up aircraft maintenance a time or two and crash a couple of planes as a result... But that's how big organizations always are. Inept, inefficient and dangerous if not well managed.

I will say this though, for an airline, they are one of the better managed carriers for it's size, at least they where before the bankruptcy. After that, who knows? Seems of late the management is sorely lacking in any vision for customer service in their quest for keeping their narrow profit margins. But that's a problem for the whole industry, now that price is more important to the consumer than service or safety. All I can say is this little experiment will NOT end well and people will die to pay for this cost cutting eventually. Aviation history, as short as it is, makes that clear.

They where a bit quicker with the guy who kept interfering with emergency services, but it still took decades to get him finally off the air.

It may be a "cheap shot" by the FCC, but I see their logic here. I also see manufacturers using the situation to their advantage (some of them at least) but what other choice does the FCC have?

I saw this clearly when they took up the BPL (Broad Band over Power Lines) issue, where they where going to shove internet data over the power lines on wide bandwidth RF carriers and the FCC commissioners ignored the fact that this would pretty much interfere with pretty much every licensed radio service using any frequency starting at DC up though light.
